Lol I was talking about the original team but now that you mention it, there has been fantastic communication between the classic team and the players.
Remind me how communication has been handled in BFA.

The same way. Your confirmation bias is through the roof.
Bfa pathfinder should have been earnable around march/april. The wait for it was just too long. The “grind”, I didn’t like it cause the layout and playing of the 8.2 zones just aren’t great before flying, but the grind was necessary.
The grind in the classic beta wasn’t that bad I liked getting the incremental talents I got up to 30, like I did back then. Just remember now to stay out of westfall.
Are you serious? There is a very noticeable difference in amount of blue posts for classic and retail this past year.
The classic team has been reliably communicating with the players all through beta. Activision fired the one CM who was communicating with us through BFA.
They assured us afterwards that they wouldn’t let that affect communication and we haven’t heard much since.
Ion himself admitted during this Expac that they failed at communicating well with their players and promised to do better. We are still waiting.
I’d guess that they will not be the ones playing Classic.
Thats like comparing football with E sports 2 completely separate things, flying is expected in retail, obviously no one wants flying for classic and everyone knows there will never be flying for classic.
Is retail in Beta? They do q&a’s on twitch for live frequently. Hows that communication about leeway or layering going? Blizz is still doing blizz and giving lip service while doing what they ultimately want. It’s the same for both classic and retail. As I said, your confirmation bias is showing.
Apples
Oranges
Dunno. In classic it took a lot less time to level to 40 to get a mount than it is waiting for pathfinder part 2 to come out in retail…
BFA might as well not have had a beta, they didn’t listen to any player feedback.
While the QnA’s are a nice idea, they cherry pick questions and still manage to give none answers.
Blizzard gave a very detailed response to layering which a lot of players were happy with.
They aren’t the ones playing classic.
We are also still getting leeway even with our ISP’s being much better. This is exactly what i said, they give lip service while ultimately doing what they want. Also, elaborate on what they did to satisfy people with layering, it can be abused in classic.
Pfft. You never did quests for classes like warrior/shaman did you? Up mountains - maybe hills - with only one way up. Or getting up over Wailing Caverns for that other quest. Lots of places where you had to climb up on “this one path or fall off and land among a pile of raptors”.
I did the samoplange quest line and decided to be clever and climb up on the ridge to get the NPC without aggro…til I fell off the Other side into Ashenvale’s demon canyon. Had to ask a GM in tears to move me after dying multiple times and getting stuck. Not a good WoW day.
Funny vanilla nostalgia moment - which makes me not want to play classic at all.
It’s a temporary system that is only in place to help handle the strain of overpopulated starter areas.
yeah like all the times he “promised” the dev team were planning to do better saying that an alliance fist bump moment was coming and that the alli players were going to majorly impressed
/cue the jeopardy music
If the strain were not to die down then what? You are defeating your own argument about how betas are handled. We are always told it will be fixed, then it goes live and we say it will be fixed later, then the cycle continues until we are in another expansion. I’ll be here when the first ones to hit 60 are abusing the crap out of layering and listen to the excuses.
I personally don’t care about flying one way or the other,
but there’s a bit of a difference between having to do a timegated grind to unlock a feature that was taken away,
and playing a game where flying simply doesn’t exist.
Are there people who think flying was in classic? Or at least enough for anyone to notice they exist?
Probably, never underestimate ignorance.
I hope not.
The difference is that they are communicating back and forth with their players and replying with detailed and well thought responses.
For your information, Blizzard also stated that layering won’t affect the live game to the same degree as they were testing the parameters of the system.
You’ve yet to refute my claim that there has been a lot more classic blue posts engaging with players than in retail this past year.
