I wish Blizzard would communicate more with the community

You know where they got some info to try and scam ya from. :grinning:

Don’t get me started on taxes- I am in a high tax rate. Sometimes it would be cheaper to make less money…

there is a reason why are refuse to work more then 20 hours a week while going to school full time lol. The system is broke. use it or get abused by it

True its broken. But where I come from it was worse than most people here can imagine. I am so happy to now be an American. Hope you put that schooling to good work, and find happiness.

We shall see… I apply for med school in a few more years. If I make it through that I plan on leaving the usa to see what I can do. I’m sorry that your home was worse then here. Maybe that wont be the case one day though. For now welcome to your new home

You have done nothing to prove that my claim was false. You just lined up that the statement from Ion was that a Ripcord existed. It’s not hard to lookup afterwards that Ion lied about the ripcord even existing.

Here’s a few seconds of research. Complete with Blue posts https://blizzardwatch.com/2020/09/09/blizzard-no-plans-pull-ripcord-covenant-abilities/

Long story short, Ion said if there’s a need for a Ripcord it exists to reasure that if their horrible system blows up in their face like it did in BFA. Which the player pushback was sound because Blizzard has a track record on being absolutely horrid at balancing. And it turns out players just went with what was BiS and their attempt to balance was an absolute joke. Meanwhile they tell players that they have no intention on pulling the ripcord because it would “unravel the fabric of the entire system”. THE ONE THAT THEY CREATED AND CAN’T BALANCE. And this was in the face of the community that as a vast majority hated the Covenant system from launch.

So they lied to get people to try a system that was doomed to fail from launch.

I miss Bashiok.

I mean…is this from the same company that answers feedback with “you think you do but you dont”?

I think it’s more of anything Blizzard says could be quoted as an official statement. I’m sure they are also very busy doing other tasks related to their role which the public may not be aware of. These include but are not limited to things such as event planning, conversations with staff other staff, MVPs, and others. In addition to that perhaps they’re being guided to step back a bit kind of like how GMs used to be so close to players you’d sometimes see them in game in world chat channels or having fun with some players by doing funny stuff to their characters.

Likely their obligations to do certain tasks for the company keeps them busy.

Blizzard does not allow their actual GMs/CS folks to use the Social Media account.

The folks who use the CS Twitter are the same ones who post on the CS forum. You will see many many Blue posts there. They are Forum Support Agents and there are only a handful of them. They are not GMs, but do handle front facing questions in an Information Desk type way.

The actual CS/GM team supports all Blizzard games and is mostly in the Texas Blizzard office, with some mgt at HQ in CA. They are not outsourced to another country.

Eh… i dont think people agree enough to be an echo chamber (like now!). If there was a agreement it would be worth a ponder

The problem is typically when they do, they are treated rather poorly. So why would you want to talk to someone who is liking to just insult you instead of carrying on an adult conversion? It is a bit surprising how little they do interact with the “CC”, I thought they would be way more active with them. And in the early days they were very active with the beta forums but recently that seems to have come to an end.

because, casuals get mad when Blizzard talks to the community because “OMERGHERD, STOP LISTENING TO THE 1% PLAYERS WHO ACTUALLY ARE GOOD AT THE GAME AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT”

I see you’re new here.

Wow you got me

Because that’s not how this works. When you make ANY claim, the burden of proof is on YOU to provide the evidence. No one else is supposed to do your homework for you. Imagine you’re doing a paper, and you use a quote, but cite no sources. Every professor is going to mark you down for it because that is essay writing 101. You learn this stuff in middle school, or at least I did. The fact that people don’t understand burden of proof is infuriating.

Welcome… Hope you enjoy the game.

Thanks, hope they are paying you.

At this point it should be common knowledge that Ion has strung players along on multiple different lies. Nobody’s interested in having a folder full of documents showcasing this. Especially if it happened in this expansion and people STILL don’t want to believe it.

I think the worst part about the lack of communication is that it’s clear they do not communicate with anyone that plays this game casually. People who work on the game don’t play the game casually, people who test the game don’t play the game casually, people who make Youtube content don’t play the game casually, and people who raid Mythic at the top end of the spectrum don’t play the game casually, either.

So who does that leave that they have conversations with about WoW that plays this game casually? Just the community, here and on other forms of social media, and they just flat out ignore it.

With changes like Slime Cat being unobtainable through LFR and the response they gave about “maybe people will carry you through it to get it out of the kindness of their hearts” really cemented to me that they just straight up have no idea what people who play this game casually are even saying.

So many changes they make feel like they don’t make any sense at all, and make me feel like I’m not even playing the same game as people who make this game or people who have the ear of people who make this game.
