I thought about going horde but the fact that a paid faction change doesn’t come with a complimentary server change to me just screams rip off and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Like they have to know that 90% of servers are hard balanced around one faction or the other and that you can’t just faction change and be happy with that.

I am glad your guild is doing well for the content they do but 4 of the top 20 mythic guilds on stormrage went horde during this tier alone.

And they likely are for those that do them regularly, but as long as someone knows the route, they can serve as navigator/marker. This is one area where rating/Raider IO comes in handy,

Ion low keys sure as it’s not as big of a factor.

As far as mechanics? I can understand needing to see them to really know them, but is it really too much to ask that people crack open the dungeon journal/guide and read up on things?

Also agree as far as low keys go. However if you don’t know the mechanics to a boss fight then you shouldn’t be applying to 15s.

yah, it’s just mythic raiding…are you missing out on something? Far be it for me to tell you what to do, but honestly, why care? Maybe it’s my age, but I just don’t care anymore, I’d rather have a community and people that are actively playing than raid loggers who only chase achievements for pockets of small time notoriety.

At any rate, switching factions to mythic raid isn’t a problem by Blizzard, if it were the racial talents, for example, then the player is chasing that minute increase too much and that’s on the player. If it is lack of people playing the faction, it’s again on the player because there’s no major difference in the mechanics of the classes/races (other than the former).

I just cannot wrap my head around the consumption fomo playstyle. I’ve been playing MMOG’s since 95, I just don’t see the appeal then and now of the need to get firsts.

You switch factions because the horde is way more active than alliance in not just pve but pvp. If you want to play the endgame in any capacity you’re going to have better luck on horde side hands down.

I’m wanting to go horde also because of the bg pvp and the lack of group pve on the alliance But I’m into making short races so it’s either goblin or vulpira for me

Our guild is thriving on Stormrage and I never have a problem getting into pugs and queues…sooo perspective is everything.

I hit the wall on alliance for mythic sanctum raiding as I pug. Even the heroic scene is nowhere as good as horde and the quality and quantity of groups is significantly better Imo so far having switched
