this one reason dosent seem to be game changing at all though.
Pre DF, Every class aside from druids and anyone without a goblin flying suit thingy had to dismount when gathering.
It is not like this is some new and unusual punishment for only Dracthyr

I mean punishment is a strong word but it will mean that Dracâthyr herbalists will still have to ride around on mounts.
Part of the fantasy of playing a dragon is being able to fly. With this change Soar is still inferior to using a Dragonriding mount. There is not a single valid reason for it to not just be exactly the same. There is no advantage offered by this. Itâs just good flavor for the race and class.

It would overshadow running wild, and despite the theories on GD I donât think they want one racial to be stronger then the other similar racial.
I agree that if everyone else gets a benefit such as mounted gathering, and dracthyr soar is to be considered for all intents and purposes a mount, so should they, if its different from what is offered to everyone else it should be something to change.
If the new Dracthyr Soar is not technically a type of mount then what is it?
If it is a spell then it could provide untold benefits that non mount travel spells can provide, like being used indoors! being able to soar where others cant even mount up? might be very useful

I think thatâs a ridiculous argument. Both would just be flavor mounts that are indistinguishable from any other mount that any other race could use normally.
I mean hell, Worgen already got to mount in the Maw before anyone. That puts them ahead in the âstrong racialâ race for quite a while.

You know what I would like, my run animation and my arm movement to not look so darn janky. It seems so overly stiff with how the arms move that at this point Iâm going to use my downgraded (Soar) and fly away to hide in a cave until fixed.

For a single zone, being able to fly over everything is a bigger benefit.
I donât think it would be a big deal, but that is a reason.
A benefit over who, exactly? The people who can just use a mount to do the exact same thing?

Soo you want druid flight?
We were talking about running wild. Being able to use soar for flight would provide a bigger benefit then using running wild for a ground mount.
Itâs not a big deal to me, but itâs still one reason.

A mount is a mount. Worgen can use running wild where Dracâthyr canât use Soar like dungeons or other places where flying is locked. Either would be purely for flavor purposes and offer no other tangible value to the race.

Hmmm⌠Might be enough incentive to play my Dracthyr to be honest. Though, I still wish they had a melee spec.

As far as Iâm concerned you stole Nagaâs rightful place in the roster and deserve every bit of code half-assery that comes your way.
This is the only beef I have with it. Just let people use it the same way they use a mount.
