I was wrong about Saurfang

not how you win wars lol but ok

Do people forget saurfang didn’t plan the genocide part, he planned for an occupation, and even made every attempt to avoid collateral and or innocent death. The war of thorns shows this, when you do the assassinations in ashenvale the player character is tasked with only killing high profile npcs while the player character can choose to kill everyone. He takes prisoners in (I forget which town in darkshore) but all people who laid down arms where escorted off the field.

You dont win wars by making as many enemies as possible, thats for sure.

While true, it kinda makes it hard to compare to RL precedent for the sake of argument. How long should one wait before they can safely compare fiction to fact?

Also let’s not forget how saurfang truly met his final straw after finding out what syl planned to do at the siege of undercity

funny cause the alliance won

letting genociders have weapons to countine to wage war isnt how you win either

Funny I thought we agreed to a cease fire thats all.

I will just keep on topic with saurfangs character, I assume listening to the screams of night elves as the tree burned didn’t do any good for his first horde ptsd, since allot of veterans of that horde has so much difficulty after being released from the demons blood. I am certain listening to women, children and men scream in abject terror triggered allot of old memories.

hey what was the state of the war in 8.1
what was that hordie, weeks away from losing? Whaaaa you had to get aszhara and nzoth to stall for time

The Alliance didnt win, Sylvanas ran away, then Anduin proclaimed “peace for our time”.

who won the warfronts
who had a government change
whos captial city was sieged again?

What did blizzard tell tailsen at blizzcon when he said am I right about the alliance winning the war?

The horde gave up at a time where it was implied that the armies inside Orgrimmar outnumbered the Alliance Forces combined with Saurfangs rebellion. It wasn’t a victory, the horde just decided they didnt want to lay down the roflstomp on you.

High overlord saurfang says: The winter after the course was lifted, hundreds of veteran orcs were lost to despair. Our minds where free, yes… free to relive all of the unthinkable acts that we had performed under the legions influence.

lol if you say so, outnumbered doesnt mean you win btw
thats like a babies take on war

Neutral parties stop becoming neutral when they help one side, and the vulpera and Zandalari decided to join/help the genocidal maniac faction

I mean outnumbered when anduin states they only had enough people for one assault is pretty telling on the alliance forces. At least readily available.

They joined the faction that wasn’t attacking them, or abducting their princesses.

actually they drew first blood by being a staging ground for the horde to attack kul’tiras in stormsong

heh we hitting that time again, where horde players who hate the story still try and justify the story they hate

People trade with who ever they want, and trade can span the world, even in a semi medieval setting like Warcraft. Telling the whole world “hey, you cant trade with these people, if you do ill destroy your ships/caravans” is a good way to get the whole world to wage war on you.

People aren’t going to give up their income and starve over your war, or over your political problems.

The Alliance didn’t attack either the Vulpera or the Zandalari before they joined the Horde in their war of extermination.

I’d say you have it coming if you are supporting the Horde after the atrocities they commited.

Realistically, the Vulpera should’ve been disgusted by it from the very start and the zandalari should’ve atleast thought far enough to know that you might get involved in a war too when you join the faction that just commited unforgivable crimes and set the enemy city, home to countless refugees (because they lost their homes and friends to the Horde) on fire.
I don’t even know why most allied races would join the Horde after what they have done, it’s really only for gameplay reasons, even the core races should realistically be thinking about leaving the horde before they get involved in another genocide.
