Word of advice, this person is clearly getting giggles from you reacting this way, best advice to just ignore him, or her, and move on. The fact you are giving them THIS much attention just adds more fuel to the fire.

I have empathy for people who have been harassed. That doesn’t mean I have to automatically believe every person who claims to have been a victim.

this is just how the internet is, It’s like bashing your head against a wall at this rate. Don’t worry about it, if you have guild mates and friends, who cares. Besides this is entirely server based so one persons word vs many, the many voices AGAINST that person will bear fruits in your favor. Again, best to just move on. They are clearly doing this for giggles.

That sucks. This guy should be suspended or banned. “Free speech” doesn’t apply in this situation. It’s a company, not a government. If he’s harassing you Blizzard should do something about it.

Free speech doesn’t apply in a game. Free speech only applies with the government. The government can’t arrest you or punish you for saying whatever you want. A company can fire you, kick you from its services or anything like that. I can’t get a job at McDonald’s and tell every customer this food is disgusting and expect to keep my job.

So I’ll start this by saying you shouldn’t have to resort to this as you are the one who is feeling harrased but you have stated more then once you want to be invisible to this guy. My recommendation would be to find a server that suits your needs ie server pop and region, create a toon there with your current characters name transfer server you then be able to change name on your main and get on with life and having fun because that’s what it’s about. I know you don’t want to and shouldn’t have to leave your guild but you will find a new guild and make new friends.

Honestly, and I know this isn’t the answer yout want, but you should just ignore him.
The internet is full of unstable people. Report him every chance you get and otherwise act like he doesn’t exist. You say you’ve got good friends and a good guild, so what’s it matter anyway?
If you spend time trying to collect evidence and getting other people to help catalogue his offenses (for months, as some have suggested), then you are doing exactly what he wants. He wants you stressed and thinking about him. Just play WoW and don’t worry about it. It’s just a game.

you made the mistake of revealing you’re female. anytime you’re not a white cisgender english speaking male online you face backlash. it sucks but yea good luck escaping it. the tools you need do not exist in this game without spending money and/or losing your existing cache of friends.
i tell all my friends to never reveal their gender or orientation because it’s always more trouble than it’s worth in games.
the only real solution to this is for blizzard to implement shadow bans on players that do this so that way action is taken to prevent him speaking ill of you but give him the stupidity of thinking others still see the evil s/he is spouting blissfully unaware it has no effect. both parties are happy then.
it continues because he (believes that he) has an audience on his side. the moment he no longer has a fan base of other incels to egg him on he’ll stop because he’s doing it for the response. he’s a troll junky. you only kill trolls by starving them of the attention they desire.
