Starting with Legion ones and so on. I said it over a year ago and now 4chan apparantly confirm it as a “leak”.
Problem is, Blizzard’s lost all sense of scale, and now ogres aren’t just “Tauren big” (Tauren having already been shrunk down to a pathetic nub of their original incarnation) but instead are “blot out the noonday sun with their buttcheeks” big.
Ogres should be big, don’t get me wrong, but “big” in their case should mean being able to stand against mounted warriors as per their original role and description. Not the monstrous moving mountains of pudge we’ve got now.
Ogres are just not playble race material anymore, Blizzard’s blown them up to completely untenable proportions, and I’ve never seen anyone ask to play a “mini-Ogre”. “Here, you can play an ogre! It’s 25% the size of all the other ogres you find in the world, but you can still play one!” That’s what you’d end up with, and I see that going over as well as Void Elves among High Elf fans.
and be played by 2 players like Chogall in heroes!
Ogres and High Elves as expansion races or an allied race pair would immediately make the expansion they appeared in the best Warcraft product since WoW was first released.

I still have doubts about the “real” popularity potential of ogres, especially if they release as mangled messes like Nightborne.

And for ogres too but in a less cry than ally with high elf
