Simply put, I want a heroic + version of dungeons going forward.
Heroic + would be the exact same as mythic +, but without the timer & the enemies would have to scale hp / damage higher up then M+.
I DON’T WANT TO REMOVE YOUR MYTHIC +. That’s not what I’m advocating. I really want to do tougher dungeons without timers for better gear is all. I view M+ as a time challenge, whereas a H+ would be more endurance based.
I would want it to still offer the same rewards, but maybe just a handful of different achievements.

What’s this have to do with high elves

why should it offer the same rewards when it will be substantially easier?

You know the timer is optional right? You still get loot at the end.

Scaling would have to be cranked up to the point it “balances” itself out in terms of difficulty.
You do realize that a M0 is basically the old heroic just renamed… Right? Not sure why people get so wound up over the term ‘mythic’…
I suspect OP is unable to make the timer so can’t get into higher keys. Without higher keys you don’t get as good loot as someone who completed higher keys.
I sympathize with OP, but I’m not sure it would be good for the game to add such a system.
- The timer is a big part of the difficulty. Making the fight tougher is probably not enough to equal the difficulty of the timer.
- If the loot is the same, it would be impossible to balance. Either the timed mythic+ or the untimed heroic+ would be easier. And whichever one is easier is the one people would do.
An alternative suggestion to address OP’s concerns might be to give players some other method for upgrading their key. Perhaps something akin to the system for grinding out currency to run Visions.
That way with a lot of extra work, players not interested in the timer could still run higher mythic+ and have a chance at higher ilevel loot.

And here I thought I could reply before the show began…
Short answer, erm… no
Regular mythic is already 15 item levels over heroic, and has no timer.
You can always “weekly no leaver” an m+ if you want better gear without worrying with a timer.
Just have to find somebody willing to sack their key for it.
(I volunteer my keys for guildmates every week)

Lol wut?
Bruh, just find a group of 4 other people who, like you, don’t want to care about a timer. Then, simply ignore the damn timer. You still get loot at the end of the dungeon, you still get your weekly chest.
so 4 tanks and a healer would be the go to group
No … no … no!!
3 tanks and 2 healers is where it’s at!
Some posts come at exactly the right times… this is one of them. Salute to you sir.

Another thread where the OP fails to understand the added difficulty of a timer. Not just that you must complete the dungeon within a given time, but how that time pushes the team into more dangerous and difficult situations.
Without the timer, each pull would be CC’d and have CD’s used on every mob. Completely nullifying the challenge.
You can have this content, but it should award LFR difficulty gear at best.

There’s more than one way to add difficulty and some players do not like the timer. It’s not that hard to understand.

Then it shouldn’t be hard to understand that awards should be adjusted for how easy the content becomes.
Pretty much this. Just another route to play harder dungeons without a timer even being an after-thought.
I only suggest similar rewards so that players wouldn’t feel forced to do one or the other. Some players may want easier quicker pulls and go go go, whereas some like myself don’t mind methodically going through the experience slower for some cool rewards.
So why do M+ when we could lolrofltstomp through heroic+?
The challenge of M+ is what drives the rewards.

Different kinds of challenges imo. Again, some people want a timer to go fast. I want an enemy that could nearly one shot a tank that made a small mistake in higher levels of difficulty. (Whether that mistake is low gear or an ability mishap)
