The males in FF14 are equally as hot.
There’s a real sense of advocacy; of ownership of sexiness in FF14 that sets it apart from sexiness purely for the male gaze, it’s more… sexiness because it’s fun!
Sexy gear in WoW historically only looks seductive on the female characters.

Both WoW and FFXIV are great games, but there’s never too many costume choices!

I think there is middle road like normal skirts and stuff. Like my ffxiv isn’t wearing a short skirt but it goes to her knees. Even something in between would be nice and pretty

I mean it’s also debatable if hot has to mean half naked… But anyway.
What I do hope (and that is as a feminist) is that they don’t think they should not create any revealing armor anymore or delete existing revealing armor. That’d sort of feel like the in-game version of “fast! Cover up the women so the guys don’t get distracted by their bodies!” and would send the wrong signal entirely. That’d make it clear they don’t really understand the problem.

I did say “at this point” before the part you quoted, thinking that would be sufficient to indicate Blizzard is going to be keeping their heads down with the legal action pending, partly involving literally embracing hot women working for Blizzard.

That’s a widely held view unfortunately. Recently I read a statement by Imran Khan, a legendary cricket player and now Prime Minister of Pakistan, a country where sexual assault and honour killings occur with shocking frequency, where he said words to the affect that women should cover up to avoid provoking men’s desires. I lost all respect for him at that point, but it’s depressing to see how entrenched that view still is.

I agree.
It’s incredibly harmful to women but also harmful to men cause it suggests men in general have zero self control - which is certainly true for a number of men but also very likely untrue for the vast majority of men.

Go to ff i am not against new outfits in wow, but they need to be not sexy things.
I would like city clothes appropiate to each race and not modern non-sense in clothing in wow thnx pls

With how Blizz is going with cleaning up anything in game, I doubt they’d add this type of stuff.
As for the men wanting it part. Last time I checked, women are attracted to women too.

Sadly, features, mogs, and aesthetics that appeals to role-players and those who love to customize in general was never WoW’s biggest strength, even prior to the lawsuit. Another major issue is that our armor meshes aren’t layered over the character models like in modern MMOs but “painted on” like games released in WoW’s time-frame. This makes armors like skirts impossible here (though, Perfect World which came out one year after WoW, does have skirts. So I guess it’s just WoW in particular).
Such mogs that you and I would both like isn’t just found in FFXIV but basically any Asian MMO. Though not as big and popular as FFXIV, Blade and Soul has lovely mogs with sliders to improve other areas of the body.

FF has amazing clothes. All different types, edgy, cute/girly, etc etc. And so many colors you can dye them with!
