I want a combat engineer / artificer class

Even more so than paladins and sorcerers, my favorite thematic in fantasy is a combat engineer, or artificer, or whatever name you wanna use for it. The lore for it already exists in WoW, there’s enough crazy technology out there to build a class around it between goblins, gnomes and mechagnomes – you could also use salvaged Titan tech from any of the facilities we’ve, you know, depopulated.

I’m not a game designer so I’m not going to try and design a kit, it’d be bad, but there’s plenty of techie characters in other games, engineer classes in other MMOs, lots of area to pull inspiration from.

Doubt it’ll ever be a thing, but it’d be neat to have.

There’s also an NPC in TWW called a “machine speaker” or something like that, so that gives me some tiny amount of hope too.

It’s the class I want most.

Preferably available to every race and people being able to pick and choose which technology they want to use. Maybe even mix and match, maybe you want a Draenei turret and gnome spider tank.

I would be very disappointed if they added it and it was just restricted to a few races or just had 1 generic tech style everyone uses.

Specs can be whatever, I just want a ranged DPS spec that uses guns and focuses on artillery,

I’d like healer / support, and the ability to be close range with like a rocket sword / hammer. :stuck_out_tongue:

But yeah it can’t be race-restricted, I want to play it on pandaren. It already sucks that my current favorite class is forced to be a nasty dracthyr.

Yeah, that lady. Doc Oc, but a dwarf. If we can do that, we can totally do a combat engineer / artificer.

Crazy enough, I think even the Arathi have mechs too. Funny if the Nerubains have something similar. :wrench::robot:

…this might be the most tinker heavy expansion since a Goblin Raid is being prepared. :crystal_ball::robot:
