Undeterred by the odds being stacked against me… I put my years of hunter skill of staring at my minimap to navigate, and relied on my trusty seeing-eye Worgen for guidance that I marked with skull, also my engineering loot-a-rang to loot corpses… and after only 2 deaths due to standing in hazards I could not see, I successfully managed to make it to the end and cleared the challenge.
and before anyone says anything… yes, I know it’s just a bug… but still, it was a fun challenge to continue clearing a layer 8 Torghast wing without the ability to see anything other than UI elements and nameplates, rather than restart the run.
tbh, if they had a permanent spectral sight type view that also applied the effect on the environment as well rather than just on mobs/players, that would be cool too.
I wonder if it literally will be like this… the tooltip for Unbridled Darkness sounds promising!
“Release the darkness for 15 sec, causing you to be completely unable to view your surroundings. While under this effect, your damage and healing done is increased by 75% and your movement speed in increased by 30%.”
It’s fun Mik’s Scrolling Battle Text and Classic Numbers addons.
Plus I play on a 4k large display monitor, so it’s nicely spaced apart and not as compact as it may appear from the preview images.
this sounds unfun D:! I knew i could of easily fixed it by exiting torghast immediately and restarting the run (no exiting the game required) since the issue started right from the get-go. But I decided it would be fun to just keep going and the friend who I was running with had no objections and was happy to serve as my seeing-eye worgen as I was just following the skull marker I placed on them and my minimap…
