I turned off my damage meter

Try it, it’ll do wonders for you too.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I only really use mine to test out different gear or spec changes i make from time to time, sometimes it’s interesting to see which spell combinations work best in which scenarios. It doesn’t have to be some silly epeen flexing thing, it’s mostly just a helpful tool.

I like to see the group’s damage because knowing this helps me adjust my tanking to the strength of the group. For instance, if I am top damage it’s way different from if all 3 dps are doing way more damage than me.

I forget I have one a lot of the time. It is always closed and if I remember/want to check something I open it and close it again.

Never used one in the first place.

I only turn it off when im at the bottom lol

Why would I turn it off? I’m always at the top. It’s free ego padding.

Every time i do a key with a dk and enh i look at it and cry

This can work for some. I need it for keys and raid to hit best PI targets and to judge how long a certain pull will last for CD management.

If I turn off my damage meter how can I tell who I need to message “git gud” to?

No damage meter perfectly suit my whack a mole approach to cds.

I played without a damage meter a short while ago purely because I hadn’t updated it.
It just isn’t as fun. What’s the point in DPSing if I don’t know my DPS?

Healers know if they’re doing a good job because people don’t die.
Tanks know if they’re doing a good job because they hold aggro and survive.

Without the meter how do you know you’re doing good as a DPS…? The lack of people complaining about you?

Why would I do that

This feels like a child who is still young and dumb enough to think that when they play peekaboo they are invisible when they have their eyes hidden.
