47 here and have been playing video games since Pong came out. Iā€™m part of the generation that paved the way to where we are now. Iā€™ve played some of the most horrid games out there, like ET on the Atari. I lived through the Arcade years to the console to the PC back to console and now to the birth of mobile gaming.

The torch is being passed to the next generation and I really donā€™t feel much regret about my gaming. Oh, I wish I could have learned to not invest too much time into it, but it is what it was and now here we are.

Iā€™ve been working longer than some of my co-workers have been alive. Iā€™ve been driving longer than their lives too. Gaming is just a hobby. Would it be any different than if my Grandfather said, 'Iā€™ve been playing with model trains longer then youā€™ve been alive."

Time spent gaming is not a negative if youā€™ve enjoyed it and it hasnā€™t over taken your life. Take all things in moderation, including World of Warcraft. Thatā€™s good sound advice coming from a loading screen tip.

iā€™m 45 also, but my birthday is three weeks from now. even i got cheaped on as a kid with xmas gifts also counting toward my nearby birthday, but often those gifts were worthy of two events: like a HO-scale train set, a BMX bike, or really cool KangaRoos shoes.
