I tried PTR new starting zone, I miss Gilneas

You can still go play it if you want.

Am I the only person who got bored of the starting zone and tried everything to escape because I just want to queue for random dungeons?

4 out of 11 of my worgens didn’t even learn that Two Forms spell because I didn’t finish the storyline in Blackwald, they’re stuck in worgen form forever.

I wish “outdated” capital cities were revisited.

Gilneas is pretty cool. Such a shame its kind of a one and done thinf.

From my experience only warlock’s portal, summoning stone, druid’s Teleport: Moonglade, and mage’s Teleport: Darnassus works. I swam around the whole zone for hours but it’s surrounded by invisible wall.

I don’t know… I mean, aren’t the orignal zones better for the newbies?
When I made my first worgen, months ago, all I want was just heritage armor tmog. Zero interest in worgen itself. But after the starting zone, I became fond of worgens history and their identity.
I think this is better. Common starting zone without long questline seems like something that old players want. Is it not?

Exile’s Reach has several big advantages:

  1. Friends joining the game together can play together no matter their race. With Gilneas, if your friend doesn’t also roll a Worgen, then you can’t actually play together for hours. Same if one of you rolls Panda or Goblin and the other one doesn’t. Even some of the more open starting zones like Azuremyst are very far out of the way depending on what the other person rolls up.

  2. ER teaches useful things that the other starting zones don’t, like how to emote and how to use the LFG tool.

  3. ER funnels you to useful things like bags and your first mount. If you’re brand new, knowing where to go to get those asap is trickier.

By “skip” I actually meant not going to Gilneas at all, i.e. doing Exile’s Reach instead. No need to teleport out :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh that’s nice actually. Didn’t think about it. Considering that the most of the newbies would be the friends of the current players, this starting zone can be a good option.
But still… it would be better if newbies can have chance to experience their original starting zones too. They include a lot of things about your race!

This is unfair. They didn’t hv sth like this when I came into this game! : P

Good, they can stay furry forever. :wolf:

just a simple question is the worgen starting zone still buggy?
tried the zone 2 months ago and it was buggy as heck

I gotta agree…the Worgen starting zone is probably my second favorite after Wandering Isle.
