How?
You can and could bind keys to everything already. I never use addons only vanilla I had no issues adjusting to the new UI I even just discovered you can turn action bars into boxes instead of lines of buttons… Amazing.
If you bind everything to keys, 1 thru 9, shift 1 thru 9 ,alt keys, shift mouse buttons, Most people dont even click on the bars anymore its inefficient.
The only thing it changes is let you move windows so they are in a more comfortable position for different people.
Bit of a hyperbole view on something like the UI that people havent been actually interacting with in like 20 years, even people like me who didnt use UI addons.
You randomly brought up addons in your op
So its why i clarified it isnt one.
Since its not one, using the default new ui will allow you to maintain your disuse/dislike of addons
Your purity of your ui can remain
It was a joke mate. Christ
Well I wouldn’t call it a hyperbole, I thought it was a pretty realistic take on the UI. But aside from that, I don’t think you can make a sweeping statement like
and assume it’s true, every single other person that is now bringing up problems and frustrations with the new UI, may not have the same views as you with wanting to have to deal with an interface, having to change frames and bars around to get it to what they wanted, or never had a problem with the old UI itself. The new UI works well for those that do want that experience, and it makes it comfortable for those that want a more personalized layout I agree, but this sweeping change, with no option to co-exist with the old UI, as it was, seems like a major misstep in the implementation of the new UI.

You used more exclamation marks than I did
Just felt like that’s of worth to point out before getting to the point:
No one is raging, this is just one out of a billion threads all saying the same thing: “We dislike change and won’t engage, try to participate, threaten by quitting” and a myriad of other things
All things that gets repeated for every single topic on GD, Reddit, YouTube comments, and so on - regardless of reason, context, or whether it even makes sense
I engaged with the OP on a level-headed, down to earth level where I point out that they seem to be trolling (I never claim that they are trolling), I explain the issues that arise from phrasing their thread and responses the way they have, and in the off-chance they posted this in good faith I pointed out that folks are trying to help and provide options to solve whatever their issues with the new UI seems to be
literally just asked “WHO HATES THE NEW UI” in game chat.
Theyre all saying they really like it and and I got ridiculed for even asking lmao.

Funny, all I saw all day was people complaining about it.

I was on the beta for weeks…never saw a single complaint about it.
You can put the bars and stuff back where they use to be, and click on the options to show the borders and artwork on the bars…
What exactly is different?
The valid complaints I seen are because Blizzard didnt make some things moveable, not that they did.
Cant move bag icon or small menu bar, xp bar, lfg icon. Thats about it.
Give the addon community a couple weeks and someone will recreate the old UI in every aspect.

The lower right menu needs to be sizeable, for sure. But other than that its not game breaking.

Selection bias. The people playing beta are the sort of M+ and Mythic raiders who already had UI overhaul addons whereas the people who don’t play beta are more likely to use minimal to no addons.

It’s not just about positioning though, the artwork is only on one row of the bars, it’s not exactly the way the old UI had it, the minimap and new unit frames are a different design, the micro bar, the LFG icon as you said. But it’s never been about not having the option or having the option to move these things. It’s about getting an option to just HAVE the old UI as it was.
Why push it on the addon community then, to have players that did enjoy the old UI now suffer the same woes that those who used addons to do exactly what the new UI does after every patch or update that made them stop working? This doesn’t resolve the complaining that’s gonna stem from updating addons, or having the option to use either IF you so chose to.

Of course, but the demand should have been predictable for Blizzard to have done it themselves, not the cruel joke the “classic” option is.
so I have to ask what it is you do in the game? Because glancing at your profile you don’t seem to raid, pvp, or do keys. It is important to understand, coming from a raiding perspective, the fights tailored to the high end are designed with addons in mind, some not really being “possible” without them. Bomb coordination on mythic jailer is a great example. We use a WA that takes info from an ERT note to assign spots. Could you do it without? Maybe? Point being while you don’t seem to need addons to be successful with whatever it is you do for play, for others its not really an option.
All that does is put the character plate in the upper left. Before you attack people, know what you are talking about.

I KNOW what it does son…ive clicked it. lmao.
Are you going to FORCE me to screen shot it and show what it looks like?
Its close enough to the old UI that no one should be whinng about it.
here we go folks…THIS is whats having all the fits tossed over…

ESC > EDIT MODE > LAYOUT (DROPDOWN) > CLASSIC (PRESET)
I think the argument people are having is its not a long boy UI anymore and more blocky. But I mostly agree with everyone saying its not hard to fix. I used dominos since day 1 of playing wow and it took me maybe 10min to make the blizzard one look EXACTLY the same as my dominos
