I think that the one button function should be disabled in PvP

I tried it on my Hunter at the training dummy and literally fell asleep. The rotation is horrible even though it can be bursty with procs. If people want to use the Blizzard one, for it. The WA had to go because it was bypassing the GCD penalty Blizzard specifically added to their feature.

People have been using GSE since Vanilla. This isn’t a new issue.

Ok thanks for your input

dang…w.e im gonna be a mythic raider with 1 button rotation that blizz provides

I am currently in the process of training my cat to spam a 1 button rotation on a little numpad extension keyboard, and he’s pretty good for 10-15sec, but then gets bored and wanders off

Will try again tonight, but he beat a priest last night in an rbg, so I remain cautiously optimistic

I wanted to come back to this. Maybe a good thing that could happen is if they removed the gcd penalty for healing classes in bgb and solo shuffle. That way you could just focus on being the role and doing the most important things at the right times while otherwise just hitting the button. That could legit reduce queue times. If we are going for it, let’s go all in lol.

Then Class design shouldn’t be so bad and unapproachable. Trying to justify 1 button assist is ignoring the main problem which is game design. Sorry but if the game needs addons and 1 button assist is it even worth playing that game? Why have a game that convoluted where 1 button assist makes sense? That’s just wild.

The Devs really need to remove 1 button assist and fix the core game in the next expansion. It’s just crazy this is even a thing. New players get into the game when the game is actually GOOD! One button assist isn’t it lol.

Idk if it would work for healing though really, since there is no real healing “rotation”, and it’s so reliant on CD management/observation. A lot of the time you don’t really want to be pumping your max HPS

And, taking rdruid as an example, you don’t want to be wasting GCD’s throwing up lifeblooms on every target you’re trying to heal, and I doubt blizzard’s 1 button would take the blooming interaction into effect (and that’s just one example out of literally dozens that I could think of off the top of my head)

No class needs an addon to tell you what you should be pressing wtf. This is wow and it is because of modern class design that most classes follow the same pattern of resource generation and then soending said resource. React to a few procs and you are good to go.

People pinning the “need” (roflmao) of a one button rotation to counteract blizzards “way too complicated and big brain” class design are lost.

Most people using it will never even reach the levels of play where it could start to have an effect.

This is not a difficult game like at all. Pick a new player and give them bm, frost mage or fdk and they are good. Even the “advanced” specs rotation is mostly reacting and stacking modifiers that would net you higher dps but you get there just by playing the game or reading a guide

It got hotfixed within the hour. :dracthyr_love_animated: Tettles calling in the orbital strike.

Does it change targets for you as a healer?

It just does damage, it doesn’t work at all for healing. I was just saying, even if it did work, I don’t think it would be anywhere close to as usable/effective as it is for dps

That is actually absurd. So basically you can play fistweaver and nothing else with it.

This is completely false. You are factually wrong. WoW suffers the same problem PoE had which is way to many expansions, bloat and systems. WoW is one of the most convoluted, difficult games to understand out there.

Day9 is a gigachad OG competitive gamer and when he tried Retail WoW for the first time was completely lost. As a brand new player he points out everything that just doesn’t make sense to a new player.

The fact is you don’t see how convoluted and impossible WoW is for a new player because you have played it through many of it’s expansions. WoW is next to impossible for a new player to pick up, start playing and understand. This is why we need WoW 2 and a completely new game starting over removing decades of bloat and expansions.

There is too much of everything in this game, it’s a mess. That’s why 1 button assist exist but it isn’t the answer. It’s a bandaid to the massive problem and convoluted mess that is Retail WoW.

He’s not wrong. I don’t play other mmos because they simply have too much crap I don’t bother to learn because I haven’t even tried the game enough to want to learn it.

It’s time to simplify the game!

I mean wow’s definitely not rocket science, but anyone saying it’s easy to pick up or isn’t convoluted needs to touch grass fr

Half the spells in the game function differently depending on the type of content you are playing ffs lmao, with no clear way to even see or know that ingame

You cannot label your opinion as fact ego monster.

This is literally any mmorpg dude. I started this game having zero idea what was going on but I wanted to learn and am not an entitled brat. For a year all I did was heroic dungeons and LFR and I had a blast. There’s an expectation entitled people have that they should be able to go pick up any hobby/game and immediately be competitive. That’s not an issue with the game but an issue with the person.
Wow is not any harder to learn than the simplest of mmorpgs such as old school runescape. It just takes the want to learn it. If someone can’t handle that then mmorpgs aren’t for them simple.

When I played WoW classic hardcore that was the most fun I’ve ever had on this game. I mean it has a time limit before it gets boring and the combat sucks, but it actually feels like an MMORPG.

He sure isn’t.

Other MMO are easy compared to the mountain of bloat in WoW. There are 20 years worth of story and zones. No one even knows whats happening anymore. A new player trying to figure out what is happening is impossible. Where other MMO’s don’t have decades of expansions.

No game should ever have more than 3 expansions before releasing a completely new version of the game. It just gets too messy. You need stat squishes, character squishes, remove or change zones, content. It’s a disaster. Not to mention class design.

The only way to do that is WoW 2. Start over with a completely new story and new world with fresh zones that you can build expansions on. Again no more than 3 expansions though then they should do WoW 3. We should already be on WoW 3 and we still waiting for 2.

With that said this is just Chrono Odyssey waiting room. That game looks like it’s gonna bang. Over 1 mill signed up for closed beta and likely why Blizz is worried and releasing stuff. Everything Chrono devs are saying sounds like they understand MMO’s.

People would never give up all of their transmogs and mounts and achievements to play WoW 2. Blizz needs to hire really smart people to find a way to make WoW fun again outside of end game content.

Sure they would. Most people have quit WoW. They want a New MMO.

PoE had the same problem the answer was PoE 2 which is a massive success in early access because it fixes the problem with PoE 1.

People just want a great MMO and in order to do that it needs to be a brand new game, xmogs achievements really don’t matter at the end of the day.

How do you remove decades of expansions, zones, talents etc. You need a new game to build a new story on so it’s not convoluted.
