They’re not simplifying talent trees. They’re ADDING apex talents lol.
Talent trees serve one purpose: make bad players worse.

They are though. They’re gutting tons of nodes from trees.
Yep. Kind of nullifies the above effort about gutting, but doesn’t make it untrue. No comment on complexity change since I obviously haven’t played it yet.
The trees look just as many point as before. Probably replacing some stuff because people get bored of the same thing if it stays around too long.
Post talent trees return and the promise of no more borrowed power, we’ve had how many class reworks?
Meh, I’d rather not comment on alpha talents any further since anything can change between now and xpac launch. What we see now could be completely different when it hits live. I only wanted to say I’m in support of the idea of simplification. Whether or not they’re actually successful in doing that is still TBD.
This is the kind of attitude that is just not helpful. What you’re describing here is not going to change - the issue was not with “try-hards” or your skill level. The the issue was that you were attempting to complete end-game content with people who did not want to play the game like you do. What Blizzard needs to do is to make it easier for people to find like-minded gamers to play the game with. Don’t like being told you need to meet certain requirements… don’t play with that group, join a less demanding group, or make your own. What Blizz needs to do is support that process.
In the Q&A, they did specifically mention this. In vaguebook fashion of course, but Ion commented on figuring out ways to make it easier to find likeminded players. I guess we’ll see what that means lol (if anything at all)
Considering Blizzard added the abandon system recently, I would not count on them doing that.
The abandon system takes a side on some people communicating badly.
So Casuals can easy get good parses by that logic right?
Depends on your definition of casual.
True, I don’t know what Casual is. To me somebody who has hard time clearing HC. Idk probably too hard? Delve players or Normal raid progressers.
I play casually fridays saturdays and have decent score.
Depends what you’re rated at on your main. If you clear +10 mythics you’re in the top 10% of players.
If you do mythics at all you’re above average.
Ya just completely avoid what OP is talking about and go to an extreme criticism that is completely unapplicable. GJ!
So low score means im casual? If i play 3 hours a week and time my keys constantly im 10% but if i fail them in that time im casual? ![]()
The vast majority of people who play this game do so without addons. A popular addon might have a few hundred thousand users over its lifetime. The game has had hundreds of millions.
If you’re sitting there thinking “wow, this is unplayable now”, maybe that should be an issue that’s fixed for everyone instead of papered over by an outside UI.
Like I said, if you time +10 keys you aren’t casual. I think that’s pretty clear.
If you do mythics at all you’re semi casual. Pretty obvious.
If you do no mythics, don’t raid heroic, and only do normal content you’re pretty casual.
Sums it up.
What’s the score on your main?
Well cavemen also think it’s cool to smash rocks together but that doesn’t make it better.
So even if one plays daily for 5 hours and doesn’t touch anything other than delves for example they are casuals?
3400 on my main.
Truests of trues that has ever been trued, love this post and how accurate it is, I hope blizz doesnt revert this change. Its been desperately needed for awhile
Im with you on this. 100% agree. Plus most casual players arent on the forum. So even if it seems all doom and gloom here it sint doom and gloom in the world.
I see most of reddit community and twitter celebrating.
Only complaints are from the forum and world first raiders on twitter. But they dont matter.
It’s too early to tell if it’s going to be better or worse. I’m excited to see them take such a huge swing either way.
If I never have to fight a WA boss like Mythic Echo of Nelth ever again I’ll be happy.
