I’ve already had 2 colonoscopy. I’m also old enough to remember when Atari 2600 was new.
I mean, personally no. I’m not close to that age yet where I’m supposed to get checked up.
But I’m sure that the vast majority of WoW players now a days are in that age range. It’s just a helpful reminder because I feel like this is a serious matter to be reminded of.
There is already enough technology in the world if someone needs a reminder, we don’t need our 1 escape from reality to also remind us.
There’s a certain type of person who can’t grasp the concept that some things are none of their g****mn business.
yep.
Japan has its people go once a year too. See its one of those evils of socialized medicine. the bill is paid already so to speak. there goes 1 reason not to go. I go around the time my wife has to go and my US based insurance covers mine.
I don’t need a game to remind me. She’s got that job handed quite well.
Best I get is pick 1 of 3 days she gives me really. No exam is not a choice lol.
Japan has medical facilities this all they do. the entire small to midsize hospital then runs nothing but annual physicals.
I don’t know about anyone else, but my US insurance sends me reminders about stuff all the time.
Then stop nagging the rest of us. Mind your own business.
what an odd thread lol
Then just simply make it apply to american server players or everyone in the north americas
I honestly think loading screens should have “Get up and stretch”, and “Drink water” warnings when you’ve played for prolonged periods of time.
Screening recommendations is probably going too far, but at least attempting to reduce stress induced illnesses through reminders is a pretty good start.
I think by now we’ve all learned that individualism is a meme. It’s not 2015 anymore, we can see the invidualist utopia is actually a dystopia because people are not individual creatures. Nobody should force anyone to do anything, but we really gotta stop thinking people are perfectly rational actors. They’re not.
Some things, an individual can exert a reasonable level of influence on, but most day to day things cannot. Helpful reminders and encouragements can go a long way.
yeah something like this. it can be on the loading screen too and dont have to be on the log in screen lol
LOL
Only if it is that simple.
Because, it comes down to two simple things:
- Countries that has laws where it could prevent Blizzard from doing this, or
- Whether players want that option disabled for them.
And no, Australia does not ban companies from doing this, but companies need to give options for those who do not wish to see it.
Make it a toggle within the game, then sure, include it.
Don’t suggest Blizzard do it – why not just make a thread post every couple of weeks and remind people yourself? Who knows, maybe you’ll save a life or somethin
I was thinking about this tbh
