Yes. There was a big thread on General Discussion full of whining about Hunters taming Oondasta every 15 minutes. One of them vowed to kick all Hunters he sees using the pet in his groups.

I tamed and killed him 3 times (1 tame, 2 kills for sh!ts and giggles) a few days ago. I saw none there but a blood elf rouge on my last kill that was getting the sh!t beaten out of then. They were very happy i showed up and thanked me for taking it out.

Must of just got lucky caz all i ever see are people complaining about hunters there taming it

Most of this was in the first week he was made tameable, now it has been long enough for those who want him to have tamed Oodasta, and the crowds have died down.
