I mean those forsaken who were paladins before are now just mere warriors. No connection to the light at all.

Hmmm, I guess you could say that. I had always thought that Sylvanas was the one who ordered this, are you saying that Grand Apothecary Putress went rogue and did it on his own? I always assumed it was her.
they aren’t warriors. They are magic dependent weaklings suddenly without their precious magic. 
IIRC, before the retcon, Sylvanas was just as angry at Putress as everyone else.

Was she? I don’t remeber that, but it was 9 years ago on a faction I don’t play.
Sylvanas always denied involvement. Untill recently where it got retconned. It seems way to convenient to suddenly have this plot twist now.

DARK LADY WATCH OVER YOU!! I’ll never betray Sylvanas because of Blizzard’s awful writing… Too much of an amazing character. Blizzard is making a huge mistake, and they know it.

I just do not get this type of mindset, It is like saying someone who plays the role of Darth Vader/ or enjoys the Darth Vader character is in real life a murderous psychopath. Who is truly the one with issues separating fantasy from reality…

So, in the original Wrathgate, Sylvanas has been kicked out of Undercity by the traitorous elements, Varimathras was the one with the scheme who had failed one of the Eredar lords, and it wasn’t until 2018 when nope suddenly it was Sylvanas that ordered Wrathgate.

The writing has been on the wall for quite some time about Sylvanas. The decisions she makes seldom have any true wisdom behind them, whether it be making an inherently traitorous Nathzerim her second-in-command (that inevitably did turn on her), unnecessarily starting a war in which she stupidly martyred an entire city…or in the latest instance, sends only two (obviously unqualified) assassins to kill the founder of today’s Horde.
Anyone that still supports her wallows in self-deception, and must do so for the sheer enjoyment of mental dissonance.

Honestly, I think being betrayed by Varimathras was a good character moment for Sylvanas.
She HAD a massive ego, and thought she could keep a Dreadlord in check with threats - She couldn’t. It was a good moment for character growth, as afterwards she was a bit melancholic and bitter that she wasn’t all she thought she was. However, Legion hits and she starts to stumble into her current writing hole, but it’s not until BfA that she does a graceful pirouette and swan dive into it.
