I still don't have flying

My exact thoughts in WoD.

I got WoD flying, fudge Legion, fudge this expansion. I don’t need to fly for anything, all I do is LFR and Transmog runs!

Go to nazjatar and get a stack of those coral buds that hang off the red coral. They allow you to bounce all over the place, work in mecagon and all bfa areas. They don’t break on combat. They do disappear in 24 hours.

Before I got flying I got a stack of those everyday before I started out, made travel much better.

Flying should be available after Pathfinder 1. This whole time gate is ridiculous. To fly in Naj and Mech is needed with Pathfinder 2 / another rep grind when that content was released, so be it. But this time gate is my main complaint of it all. Pathfinder 2 was not hard to get.

They went through all the trouble to put substitutes to flight into Naz and Mech so that people could get around quickly, or even just fly in the case of Mechagon’s jet pack, I don’t see why they bothered to make those a requirement anyway!

We can debate whether or not flying at cap for gold is good for the game or not. We can discuss the benefit of time-gating reps/achieves in general.

However, if the mere requirements of Part II are “too much” for your patience once you are free to do them, I can honestly say you are playing the wrong type of game for you.

Actually it lasts for the rest of WoW’s life.
Once you get it for BfA it will always be active for BfA content.

I will never understand, I didn’t have to “try”, I just played the game.

Exploring, I guess I am one of the few that want to go see.
Rep, just happens from playing the game.
Loremaster, I want to know the story, on both sides.

I suppose for part 2 I did spend more time in Mechanoworld and the Hole in the Ocean, but when the daily quest or WQ’s were done, so was I. And it was back to the other emissaries, warfronts, islands, farming herbs, running LFR/LFD, running old raids for mounts, Darkmoon, Brawlers, Holiday events, and every blue moon a battle ground…

What do you do with your game time?

I just can’t find a class I like that much, that’s a major part of the problem.

I unlocked flying and I resubbed less than 2 months ago. Just log in do the rep get the flying unlocked its easy.

Me neither till this xpac. Was SO easy.

Basically, if you do the World quests that are necessary everyday for like 2-3 weeks solid you’ll get it.

What I found, personally, is by that time you lose all interest in doing the WQs and really have to force yourself because you’re burned out from doing the same thing over and over again.

Not to mention changing characters and wanting to try something else out, and thus not progressing on the rep.

Well I’m sorry, you loathed something that at the end of the day takes actually no effort whatsoever to get. I would also like to point out on your profile you have the Purple Netherwing Drake, one of the most grindy things I can think off that has absolutely zero requirements to get that impacts your play. Something that is not main story, something that is not even side story, something that takes a real grind of an effort to get the reputation needed.

You hate grinding stuff, but your went and got something that means nothing other than showing off how much time you spend here grinding something out, a piece of content that was added for no real reason whatsoever that gave your character zero progression. Yet you won’t go and get flying that comes with doing nothing but play the content that is offered that actually progresses your character?

I don’t think using something from 2007 as a “call out” to strengthen your point is very valid logic. Things change, including what people enjoy doing.

Also this

Funny how it was the right kind of game for me for almost a decade until there was a big change in direction after MoP and they switched from “Make a big ambitious game” to “Stretch a little content as far as possible.”

Pathfinder is easy. Take your time with it, you are in no rush.

People change?
But also I’m not talking about the stretch out content part. That was in my original statement. My point is this: The wait a year for part two is dumb, the actual requirements are not anything crazy. Loosing your patience waiting for part 2 I get, loosing patience doing part two, maybe MMO’s aren’t for you.

Friend of mine came back to play recently, he didn’t have part 1 done. He was flying in like 2 weeks because he didn’t complain on the forums and just did the tuned down achievement.

I don’t understand the hate for part 2 requirements, it is so insanely easy compared to previous expansions. Remember having to kill a set number or rares? or open a set number of random chests around the zones in WoD?

Yea getting revered with the only factions of the patch is SOOOOO much worse.

Welcome to the club.

If it makes you feel any better I have flying and hardly use it. Most of the flight paths take you almost directly to the dungeon and that is all I really do. I’m burnt out of World Quests, not much else I see flying useful for, personally.
