I not only have my mount money before lvl 30, but I’ll probably have epic mount by lvl 55.
No, this is not normal.
The only people to blame is Blizzard for making mega servers.
You reap what you sow.

To be fair, you could do the same thing on Era on the Whitemane cluster. Like you my last alt there had hundreds of gold just from selling greens, ore and feathers of all things. That was when Era was booming and the main game in town for Classic, that says everything you need to know.
Swiftthistle and wild steelbloom going for 1.5.g each is not normal, this is insane
If you were focused on leveling you would not have this… “issue”. What a privileged issue to have as well. " I spend my time making gold instead of leveling so I have more gold than I need for my level."
You have no idea what he is talking about. Characters make that kind of gold just from selling things you get while leveling and gathering. Super ordinary stuff, like feathers…
Is that supposed to be bad?
I have a similar experience, but I’m a complete new player to wow ( started in January) so I dont have a expectation of how things should be
I have some experience of playing games in whale inflated markets though
So I quite enjoyed figuring out what sells great (Blackmouths in my case) and was able to buy cool upgrades for my gear whenever I got a few levels
you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, all I’ve been doing is selling items I looted from quests and put on AH (and herbs), and I have close to 140g already at lvl 29
Warrior is going to be the most expensive for Vanilla (the game that is before the expansions). You will quickly find out the items you need are over 1k each (Lionsheart Helm, Edgemasters), then consumables.
While you don’t need them for the first raids, Warriors scale HEAVILY with stats. You would see a big difference in your damage just by having a world buff and/or consumables (which makes it fun, who doesn’t like big numbers?) Why do I mention consumables? At the moment, Black Lotus, a component for the flask (big buff elixir that lasts through death), is 3 digits worth of gold and climbing.
Original WoW’s servers and maps were designed for 3-5k players. We have 10-15x that or more, making it a Megaserver. Normally, Blizzard gives you a few servers to choose from, usually to match your timezone, or choose your community type. Unfortunately, we’ve all been shoved on one Megaserver for Anniversary. This has caused massive damage to the community, the economy, and the game. Megaservers create a much different mindset that not everyone wants. Megaservers should be a choice.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
Oh I totally agree that it should be a choice, but alas this is what we have
Regarding all the other stuff, I feel like all of it can be worked around with some human ingenuity
There it is, herb/alch market on Nightslayer is HOT.
Blackmouth and Kelp are very valuable and accessible in level 10-20 zones. As someone who cant/wont make it to end game raiding I’m just excited to afford my mounts.
I’m sorry it negatively affects your enjoyment, but it does help casuals like myself
selling is fun in classic era and ani. folks will buy just about anything, even greys.
