I remember when Tranquility was an actual “O snap” button. It took all party members from the brink of death to full Hp.
Nowadays, I hit Tranquility and it only seems to stop incoming damage and provides a little heal.
Such a great ability has been gutted.
I mean, healing is healing, and it heals a crap ton. Maybe you’re thinking of times when heals did like 50% of people’s health bars?
Sadly Resto Druids haven’t been the same since Cataclysm. Their peak was at Wrath of the Lich King and Blizzard has been nerfing them since.
Healers in general are weaker this expansion. We aren’t able to heal through people ignoring mechanics, which is as it should be. If a DPS is standing in stuff or not interrupting, it’s their responsibility to move, NOT the healer’s responsibility to keep them alive.
I think it’s fine. Healer CDs should be strong, but not so strong that your entire party can just ignore basically any incoming damage for the duration.
I feel the same about tranquility. I use to maintain when most at half hp but not lower. An O Snap button is convoke of spirit as night fae. It heals tons when all parties at low health!
Tranq is a good “catch up” heal if the party ate an AoE and everyone needs health. The main issue I’ve had with tranq is dungeons are so movement-heavy it’s hard to stand there and channel.
They need to add a conduit to allow movement while tranq cast.
I think heals are good where they should be. People need to personally use defensive cooldowns and not take avoidable damage.
Healers need raid slots and as groups become more geared and content becomes more trivial, the need for healers lessen in a raid setting to the point where you can get away with taking 1-2 healers for like a 30-man raid… and in a dungeon setting to the point where you can ignore bringing a healer outright or the healer can just focus primarily on DPS.
Healing someone’s entire HP with just one non-significant CD low-mana cast should not be a thing anymore.
druid was never the same after cata, cata was the best imo. feral was at its best imo too. and feral did have tranq back then and it did great healing lol
Feral, yes. You clearly didn’t play resto in cata. The spec was essentially unplayable.

But they don’t. I got kicked from my first Shadowlands dungeon for not healing because the group ignored the adds on Blightbone. I should have immediately switched to DPS for the expansion. I still might. I’m already burning out on the constant vigilance it takes to keep ahead of all the mechanics people ignore.
This is why Shaman is so popular now. They have the best tools to carry stupid.
