Ypu commit mass murder of innocent people, burning them to death, then raiding the corpes of your victims to fight against their own people that us unforgivible, unless sylvanas can reverse time andbring back all the innocent people she slaughtered, reverse the burning of the world tree and repair Gilbeas back before her unprovoked attack, even then she should be locked away forever so she never has a chance to do it again
Again, these are crimes and, yes, I agree she should be prosecuted for them and punished if convicted.
I can see that you believe she is unforgivable and that is not open to dispute by me as I cannot judge your beliefs. But who can decide she is not forgivable or is forgivable for all of us? Who has that authority?
What she has done is horrific but I do not think I have the experience nor the depth of understanding to decide someone is unforgivable.

This was what we were chastised with at school should we dare get a little too worked up.
An exhortation against violence, not a justification of it though. Ironically, this part of Dharma is meant to consider the evil in our own actions, if they might make the Buddha himself wind up an Archie Slap⌠
Sylv should get hers in the end though. redeeming her with so little strife is not so much about ârights and wrongsâ but simply about good narrative.
This current story path stinks of laziness and possibly a dab of desperation.
Again, sheâs not being redeemed.
If anything, sheâll be facing the consequences for her actions. Consequences she knows she deserves and has accepted for her unforgivable crimes.
Thatâs the sane thing to do. I canât fathom being this mad over what happened in a badly written fictional story.
So lemme get this straight.
Blizz is now claiming that the Jailer was controlling her all this time, ever since she was split into a Banshee.
Hmmmmm BUT
He didnât give her, her soul back until AFTER she tried to kill him, but it wasnât really her trying to kill him it was the banshee, who has been under his control all this time.
So if he was in control of the banshee, and the banshee, which he was in control of tried to kill him⌠so Blizzard is saying he was trying to kill himself?
So the Jailer is suicidal, or just really stupid, or just wanted to flex his arrow catching skills?
Iâve seen better written stories in episodes of Scooby Doo.
The old ones from back in the late 60âs, not this new garbo they have now, but still.
The deeds she done are unforgivable but that is not for us decide on forgiveness nor is it our vengeance ,those that can give it are there now so close you can touch them but that is her choice and theirs. We donât have a say it that at all.
We live another day in this time and the dawn is shining on the break with the sun rise. Does a person completely live in the shadows of their self would surly be lost forever.
Nope, Blizzard never stated that actually.
Sylvanas was 100% in control of her own actions, she was never dominated while working for the Jailer.
Of course Sylvanas cannot be forgiven, there will be appropriate judgement. Blizz canât redeem her after they split her souls. There are many other ways that they can redeem her without using this controversial Split soul Machina.
You know that some Sylvanas fans whoâs been indifferent start to criticize story due to the splited souls. Cos they expected she would do something as âSylvanas.â
Also I donât want to think that Blizz is THAT stupid enough to believe Sylvanas haters will show any kind of sympathy for âgoodâ Sylvanas - if she doesnât get proper punishment at the end.
If Sylvanas get redeemed, Blizz will lose both of them and only serious Sylvanas simps will remain. Thatâs really bad decision for both story and business.
Edit) I think Split soul is Blizz way of saying âhey hey guys she will be punished okay? But we always wanted to tell you Sylvanas has good part in her, so let us show you that nowâŚâ
So then a redemption arc is really out of line for her if she was in control all this time and we should riot?
OK, works for me.
Sheâs not getting redeemed either.
People are seeing what they want to see, rather than seeing whatâs actually presented.
She has acknowledged that her crimes are unforgivable and that she must face the consequences for them. Even if the NPCs were to try to give her a way out, she wouldnât accept it.
I look at it as there are possibly several scenarios it is,
One, sacrifice some one loses a life for another.
Two, a fading of the character.
Three, a combination of the two, hard to do.
Four,revenge from a third partly,Dallas scenario.
Which would you chose?
âSo let me get this straight. [Rants about thing that didnât happen] Weâre just supposed to be ok with this?!!â
She did some really horrid things, I mean besides the tree.
Take Anduin for example, in todays terms, she in the crudest of definitions, she sold Anduin into slavery to the Jailer.
Not for money, But for power.
And I know alot of people dislike him for his squeaky clean persona and his timid way of doing things, but the guy never really went out of his way to hurt anyone, he didnât deserve all that.
Serious question. Feel free to go be a jerk somewhere else.
Donât be so sure about that
Just because she accepts the consequences, so what? Theyâve given her plausible deniability in the form of just the most horrendous writing.
Iâm 100% willing to bet that if they do finish her, itâll be a noble sacrifice to shine her in a good light. That is still a redemption and far more than she deserves honestly
Thatâs a statement not a question.
When you start something by saying âlemme get this straightâ
and end it with a question mark, itâs a question.
Again, go be a jerk someplace else.
Iâm not being a jerk, you are asserting the story is doing something the story did not do then complaining about it. Itâs frankly bizarre.
