I really hope the next expansion is not a cosmic evil or something

The ultimate cosmic threat will be the Big Bad Wolf. Genn will be the only one who knows how to defeat him, and our Artifact gear item will be the Red Hood.

ah thx for that correction

I would have no problem with a cosmic threat if the story is done well and the gameplay is fun… which in this expansion nether is

I want the Dragon Isles to be real, a grounded story about the dragons is almost impossible to mess up but Danuserism is a real thing so maybe we shouldn’t get that.

That’s still assuming Dragon Isles is even the next expansion. It might not be.

Give us the undermine expansion from the April fools prank.

It was a joke and genuinely looked more exciting than shadowlands.

Elden Ring ends with a fight with a God.

A Manifestation of Yog-Sothoth specifically(just as Bloodborne ended with a fight with Nyarlathotep the Crawling Chaos). It’s called the Elden Beast.

Spoilers!

Also, i kinda work my way up there from nothing, not just automatically “The Chosen one” when i arrive.

If you haven’t noticed devourers in-game, especially in zerith mortis then you lack the vision to see they tied to this extra-cosmic alien threat that feeds off the 6 primal powers in the warcraft universe.

Azeroth being the catalyst to unite these forces into a 7th force which is all of them combined with Azeroth is the only thing that can destroy this extra-cosmic alien threat. odds are the first ones each represents a primal power and sacrificed themselves so Azeroth could unite the 6 and defeat this alien force intent on consuming all the forces.

The jailer being the arbiter once encountered a soul that had direct dealing with this alien cosmic threat and he set out to dominate all reality to unite the 6 forces with Azeroth under his control
