I quit my guild today because of ninja looting

The same stuff happened in Vanilla WoW back in '05 not just Classic. On a Run with members of a world first raid guild; the blood of Drakkisath, from UBRS, was Ninjaed from the Pugs as in no chance to roll at all because “We were just pugs with no chance to do Ony and they needed it to do Ony”

Sounds like you were in a bad guild fam. Be glad you realized it now and not in a real raid like MC or something.

unless its loot council then its working perfectly

I doubt it was because they said the bad player won the loot. That implies its not. They then chose to give it to someone else anyway.

Oh yeah some progression raiders back in the day had a real holier than thou attitude towards anyone who didn’t raid 20 hours a week.

depends on how they run loot. i had a guild that would have people roll if they wanted the piece and then they would decide who got it from that list. it caused a few problems like this until they switched to the addon

Thats a terrible method and again i doubt it is how they do it. Please stop assuming.

I do enjoy when people come up with explanations that make the people look worse because they get off on one aspect.

It’s like admitting to murder to dodge a manslaughter charge.

Wow has always been this way, but the classic community has been destroyed by retail mindsets, so this behavior is prevalent in todays classic. The only way we’d ever go back to the good ol classic community is if nost suddenly reopened. Smaller community = less names to know and remember = less risky behaviors since server transfers and name changes would never be a thing.

weird its ok for you but not for us

Im not assuming anything. Im going off OPs post.

Player A: wins loot.

Raid deems player bad and gives loot to someone else. The fact that player A won loot means its NOT loot council.

we dont know that they did win the loot it could be exactly what i said earlier when people would roll to show their interest… if the raid leader has the power to dish out the loot then it could 100% be a loot council raid. we are laying out different options for what could have happened based on the info given because we don’t have all the info and op is being vague.

We do know.

Player A won loot. They gave the loot to someone else. Thats ninja looting. You’re either a troll, a ninja, or a midwit. Im blocking you.

an assumption. without knowing the loot rules then we dont know that they won the loot. that’s just ops opinion.

if its a loot council this is ok.

yes people pointing out the holes in you argument deserve to be blocked

OP hasn’t provided proof.

You are making a conclusion without it. Just basing your assertion off of hearsay

you don’t loot council in a Pug.
