you don’t have to compete with other people. you could just do this thing called “group up”. if people refuse to group up for whatever reason, well, that’s a player community problem

gee it’s almost like forcing everyone onto 1 server for each game type is a bad thing
Queue the Simpson’s GIF “You just lost yourself a customer!”
Group up. It’s an mmo.
But yes, there’s not enough servers.
Wait I’m confused you know you can layer hop on demand right I do it every day. Sometimes it can take a min to switch you if you do it too often but it def works just join layer
Literally what actual difference is there?
No such a thing as a “Fresh” server after the first week anyway since all the gold buyers pollute everything.
Because of that why not just play on a non crowded server?
yeah but some people literally want a drop down menu where they can just choose a layer without bothering anyone else, which is absurd
yeah in terms of hardcore muh fresh really makes no difference
Sure, but people’s refusal to group up is also very retail. A retail problem requires a retail solution.
There’s a few differences on anniversary realms. Dual-spec, no debuff limit, etc.
It’s like you’re dreaming about Gorgonzola cheese when it’s clearly brie time baby
Would you accept smoked gouda? I recently acquired a bit of an obsession with it.
a true hardcore player doesn’t need that stuff
No. Hopping layers is already too easy for the bot armies.
Sure would be nice to have on Dreamscythe, though.
If I had been in the room in 2004 when this was being hashed out, I’d have piped up and said something about making sure players who are supposed to be allies aren’t feeling like they’re competing against one another. This competition for tags gets old really fast and it’s something they should have dealt with long before Mists or whenever it was they changed it.
These issues have caused you to physically not be able to press your buttons and play the game anymore?
Kettle meet pot.
Yes we need more servers, but we also need people to stop farming in questing areas.
Take the undead GY just past Chillwind camp, the GY is literally all mobs needed for questing, and I just finished slogging through there, which took an hour to get the 20 mobs killed for the quest because there were level capped people farming marks there for rep.
It’s like dude, there is literally an entire city of undead 100 yards down the road, go there.
But predictably enough when I went into the city to do the towers quest, not a soul in there farming.
I’m not doing that tho
the city is full of much harder mobs to be fair
