I believe Blizzard hit gold by doing the Remix . I would do Remix of all past expansions .
You know if they do continue with the remix idea than it would probably be better to go in order and I do think wod would be the next best choice.
I also think that legion would be fire though. Just because could you imagine the ability to work for artifact appearances again, in the appropriate setting.
Would love low fantasy stuff like some of the vanilla shields and swords. Especially things like the widow blade green item or dazzling longsword. Tons of vanilla chest and leg plate mog is used still.
A large portion of the mog community uses lots of vanilla assets. Bards boots is used frequently for example.
It can be good if they sprinkle in a few good new items, like chen’s hat. Just need to make the chase rewards worthwhile.
Vanilla and wotlk both have plenty of mounts to offer.
I would like them to go back and add to different aesthetics they had over the years. The problem with pre mop is color variations weren’t that pervasive yet. So you can’t really sell the same dungeon set 4 times.
A wotlk themed frost or ice weapon/armor high res set? I’d literally never wear anything else on my dk…
I would love to own that Phoenix mount .
Boo this man
I’m really not following what this means.
PvP rewards are seasonal, enchants and Elite mogs have never been available after the season. Challenge Mode sets were for that period of the Challenge Mode. I’m pretty sure none of those were brought back.
There was never any wording that claimed these things would be gone forever. They were exclusive during a certain time period and never stated to absolutely never return.
If you aren’t enjoying the game, stop playing it. A corporation can’t “betray you” by not “appreciating” you.
Everything in the Trading Post comes back around. There is no limited time, there is no trickery and a psychological phenomenon that doesn’t apply to all people needs to stop being used to whine about things you don’t like.
It’s marketing strategy. Used by every marketing department in the world in every single company. It’s up to the individual to determine their level of involvement in such promotions.
It doesn’t. I’m married to a lawyer. You’d be laughed out of their office.
Such as?
I’ve been here since 2005. A corporation making money is how things work. If you dislike it, then online games aren’t going to be your cup of tea, because most utilize microtransactions and limited time more than WoW does.
They wont, theres a nasty bug in WoD they refuse to fix, where you head north of your garrison far enough it shuts the game down… Been reporting it for months dunno if they ever fixed it yet tho xD
They just need to use their AI to upres the old armor.
A mountain of TBC recolored weapons and armors were datamined a few months ago, so…
Wonder what those are for.
Remind me again why elden rings was such a big hit upon release? And how much did they make? Afterall they dont have microtransactions or a cash shop, nor have they mentioned future plans to do so. They have less frequent DLC as well. Did they make a deal with the devil?
Just because many do something doesnt mean all should. In fact that has become a rather big complaint from avid gamers now, and has lead many to find new games!
Kinda crazy how selling a completed game that doesnt have microtransactions can lead to such success
Mhm, mhm… no.
I don’t want to see a remix after MOP.
I would only be interested in playing BC or WotLK remix. I do not like the sets, mounts, lore or vibes from subsequent expansions.
There isn’t, I assure you.
Elden Ring isn’t an MMORPG.
Agreed tbh. Legion is where the mog game started the step up a bit more and I’d be interested in recolors. I guess some of WOD? I never want to step foot in Shadowlands again though, under any circumstances.
I love Remix, it’s relaxing, nice pace of change, and stress free. Unfortunately, I don’t think it would be possible to get another Remix due to timeline for next two years.
As much as most people seem to like it I think you’re going to be disappointed. The only real question is which expansion is next… my vote is WoD or Legion.
I fully agree with you.
I loved MoP. But MoP cosmetics as a reward are very lackluster and barely make the cut.
I am excited for a potential WoD remix though.
This is a clinically insane position to hold.
WoW made $686m last year. This is on an almost 20 year old game. In its history its made more than that in previous years. In its entire 20 year history its made $9.23 BILLION dollars.
The $750 million that Elden Ring was nice, but thats never going to be the same continuous income that WoW has been.
