i think ive written about this subject before on one of my alts.
im a SOLO player. i have no interest in grouping up. that being said i formed my own guild when i found out i could make one on my own now. i focus primarily on open world content and raid only when expansion campaign story quests make me raid.
that being said i have my level 90 druid. shes so hot right now heheh. im a little stuck atm.
i feel like i want to level up my alts but at the same note i feel like i should just focus on my druid this expac (bear tank by the way) at least until last titan comes out.
im basically asking for some advice on how to focus on just ONE character for the rest of Midnight i suspect we dont have much longer at the current patch cadence.
so yeah what i need help with is how to focus on the one character.

I’m not sure I understand. Maybe I can halp you think this through.
We are 4 months into Midnight. We have the roadmap until the end of 2026, patch 12.1.7
After that, we really must have at least another 6 months for patch 12.2. Even if Blizzard really breaks with tradition, at least 3.
So that’s an absolute minimum of 10-11 more months of Midnight. I doubt it could be that short, but I certainly don’t believe it could be less. So when you say “we dont have much longer at the current patch cadence” I think you are shortening it more than possible.
Yes, you can definitely leave your alts behind for now and level them next expansion if you choose. Blizzard always puts a superfast levelling event in the prepatch, so that would make it easy.
But I don’t understand what you mean when you say you want to focus on your druid. Focus on to gear up? There is a limited amount of gear progress you can do each week, even with group content, and less solo.
So it depends how many hours you want to play each week vs how much progress you can make each week. If you have very few hours to play, the problem takes care of itself; you will just barely be able to cover what your Druid can do to progress.
But if you play more hours than that, what do you intend to do with your Druid in those extra hours? Chase mogs? Achievements?
I feel that either you or I is missing something here.
i was just exagerating the time left to midnight hehhe was mainly joking there. but yes i play a lot a lot. mainly solo on my end i do group content for stuff like world bosses/etc. i tend to help out where i can there.
now yes i can chase achievos n stuff like this.
so you know i play a LOT. a lot of hours a day im disabled n dont work. long story there but yes i play a lot. but yes mainly like im just not sure how to focus on one main is all im saying here!
im used to playing alts a lot.

either way the advice you gave is good ill try to achievement hunt! see how that works out for me.
How long does it take to level an alt 80-90? 10 hours? And you play … 8 hours a day? 10?
It makes no sense to me just to burn time on your Druid if you are not progressing her and not enjoying it.
I don’t know how many alts you have, but if it were me, I would chase whatever I can chase on my Druid, but then casually push my alts along now and then, if only just for a break. If you play a lot, and stick to your Druid, you run the risk of burning out and not enjoying the game any more. A change of character now and then is necessary to maintain your interest.
Not to mention that achieves and collections work much better with multiple alts trying for them.
By all means, make your Druid your first priority, but allow yourself to take a break with alts, especially if chasing mogs and achieves in older expansions.
thanks buddy really. i appreciate all viewpoints here i feel like im def trying too hard here! im normally a Warlock main heheh. so like druid was a huge change of pace for me. i got the story done on her. but yes all advice here is appreciated thanks guys ill keep that in mind especially considering we dont have official word on the last titan yet hehhe. i suspect it will be next year at some point! we will see. either way thanks guys for all of your help i feel a lot better than im not the only one who likes alts! thanks guys yall are being a huge help.
Look at the achievement Five Warbound Mentors from TWW. Getting 5 alts to max:
67% - two thirds - of players had five or more alts maxed in TWW. Having less than five is not the norm; it’s the exception! I’d guess the average is 6 or 7.
In TWW, I myself only maxed five or six of my characters, leaving … oh, I dunno, maybe another 10 or 20 behind maxed in DF. But that’s because I dropped out of TWW halfway through. If I had stayed through the slower second half, I’m sure I’d have more.
i been paying attention to raiders who do splits n what not. im like holy moly they have like 20+ alts now there heheh.
its really wild stuff. anyway thanks guys i feel a lot better about how i play the game now working on my lock now. shes at 81 so far but yes guys thanks for the advice!
Like you, I am almost entirely solo these expansions, and I had … (I just went back to count) … 25 alts maxed in Dragonflight, and 6 maxed in TWW.
People have alts. Lots of alts. You are not unusual. Back in Classic days, the amount of work to level and progress a character was substantial, but making alts so much faster to level and gear has very much changed that.
Don’t feel guilty about your alts. Everybody’s doin’ it.
