You should roll a tank.
Not sure if it had anything to do with, but i think Cataclysm dungeon are avoided by most people, they seem to be harder then Pandaria dungeon and i think they choose Pandaria dungeon to level.
Well, as someone whoâs been healing off and on since vanilla, welcome to the role! Its not hard, promise.
For starters, as others have said, getting a healing add-on makes life much easier- I use Vuhdo. Youâre going to want to look over the beginners guide on wowhead or icyveins to get the gist of your spells, and then fiddle with vuhdoâs spell bindings until youâre comfortable with what youâve got.
The actual healing bit isnt all that complicated, and a lot of the same ideas are shared by the different healers: prep for the pull (Earth Shield) maintain HoTs on the tank (Riptide) and use your basic heals as needed (Healing Wave, Healing Surge if youâre in trouble). Remember you have cooldowns and dont be afraid to use them when you need to! Donât worry too much about doing damage until youâre comfortable keeping people alive.
And above all else? Relax. You can handle it. People die sometimes, even with very experienced healers. Just do your best and youâll be just fine. Best of luck~!
Five man healing is different than raid healing. Youâll be using Surge a whole lot more. Keep healing rain under where people are grouped up and put your healing stream totem down on cooldown. Earthlink totem can go under the melee (or a stacked group). Itâs a damage reduction. Donât try to chainheal in dungeons. Itâs too slow. Riptide on cooldown. Generally your healing surge should be your emergency heal and healing wave your slower, more mana efficient heal. Your oh crap cooldowns are your Healing Tide and your Spirit Link totems.
Theres his problem. Halls if origination isnt a commonly qued dungeon and not part of leveling que so no one does it.
