I understand this line of thought but I feel we already have this issue with flagging.
People are using the flag option already as a form of down vote.
Though I donât think adding a down vote option will resolve the flagging issue as a lot of posters here do and will continue to flag things they even slightly disagree with.

I just canât! I had to report there was no dislike button.
I sometimes miss being able to silent swat lightly-trolling posts, but in hindsight I fear itâs true that some things I convinced myself at the time was trolling turns out to have been genuine feedback.
I donât miss that one time I worded something badly and got 650 downvotes.
