Should I have not made mithril bars ? I don’t see anyone selling bars, only ore.
More people buy the ore most-likely, use it for leveling profs…
Should be able to sell them eventually
I’m finding the Ore (Exception here is the Uncommon Ore like Silver, Truesilver… ect) is selling far better than bars.
Ore caters to more professions than Bars do alone.
I was hoping to just look first to see how much I could sell bars for. But I don’t see any to know.
Since we don’t need to level professions thru prior expansions, less people are looking for mats from anything other than current content.
what does that have to do with how much mithril bars might be worth… I didn’t say anything about leveling.
Because people aren’t interested in lower level materials since they’re not needed for leveling professions as much as before.
Exactly, people no longer need old mats, therefore there is no demand. You might be better off using the bars to craft mog gear or weapons. Fewer people with the professions learned will increase demand for the crafted items, particularly the recipes that drop, not learned from the trainer.
Supply and demand, Economics. No ones looking so it’s worth junk.
Ore can be used by JC’s, OR blacksmiths.
Most blacksmiths also have mining and can smelt the ore themselves.
Those that don’t, likely have an alt with it.
Basically, by selling it as bars, you’re cutting down the demand for your product.
That said, i don’t think JC existed back in Classic so Mithril should be fine? Am i misremembering?
