I loved the resounding silence at Earthen Allied race

Gil Goblins would have been a fair counterpart to Mecha Gnomes, but just giving one faction a new mainstream race while offering the other faction a customization option for one of the least popular races speaks volumes.
But it’s similar with giving the Horde access to the female human model with Dracthyr and now giving them Dwarves, while the Alliance… well, didn’t get a single new Horde model. But it doesn’t matter, right? As long as one faction gets as much variety as possible. Who cares for giving the Alliance some mainstream races. Overweight humans, diaper gnomes and dwarves 3.0 are just as fun, right? Right? xD

I want a Gnome Pally…already got one wish done Tauren Rogue…

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single person ever play one. I’m being 100% serious.
I’ve never seen one being played ever.

Lol

Earthen seem to be the only thing close to Warforged we can get. Mechagnomes are just Autognomes mostly.

I play one on some select classes.

I played one for a while on my mage. I actually had a really cool look, but eventually I got tired of no transmog. Some outfits I thought would look good ended up looking awful so I race changed

Yea. Mechagnomes were a classic case of putting game theming over game mechanics. At no point did anyone around the table a blizz HQ ask the question: Why would a player want to play a race that looks like absolute trash in 99% of the mogs available?

The very first question any race designer at blizz needs to be asking themselves is, does this race look cool? Does it look good in mogs? Is there much clipping? If the answer to those questions is, no, no and yes, then you know you need to go back to the drawing board.

I still find them pretty… meh. I’ll make one for the Heritage unlock, but that’s about it. Was planning on making an Earthen DK to be my Alliance-side DK, but since Blizzard backpedaled on that, guess I’ll just go full snoozeville and make an Earthen Warrior.

its lazyness nothing more.

They will come but not now. It makes story-wise no sense at the moment.

I mean, Earthen look better than Dracthyr at least, IMO. I love my evoker but I hate when that thing pops out of visage form.

I’ll level one, sure. Not really hyped about the race. There has to be something better they could’ve done with the Dwarf rig at the very least. But whatever, it’s just more dwarf customization IMO, and I don’t feel like I actually lost anything with them adding it.

Now I just sit around and wait for some better race to get offered the Evoker class. XD

that’s a bold move cotton, lets see how it plays out.

Of the players?

I wish I had an epic stone body.

This.
Any other game would use the ARs as customization options for the old races, with the exception of Vulpera as the only new race.
But stuffing the character select screen with dozens of cheap copy&paste recolors just makes it clear how the devs see this game. I also find it astonishing that there are still some simps who will defend every bit of trash this company tries to sell as new.

and dont forget the main point of the expansion “HERO SPECS”

outside voidweaver with the cool void orb there is barely no way to know if that class is playing A or B hero spec…outside pets

  • horsemen
  • celestials
  • phoenix
  • owl area (reused)
  • farseers (barely visible)
  • improved druid treants
  • diabolic summons (at least those are different demons)
  • dark ranger hound…

GEZ the amount of “pets” this expansion is adding is incredible…and its the “easy and lazy way” to create a hero spec , add a pet to it …

there is barely any “new cool” effects that make the spec heroes feel GOOD vfx wise.

all rogues gained as far as spell effects is fatebound coin flip , not rogue main but lol

its not better for “casters” tho …the new spells are passive or visually “meh” , but then u fight a random dungeon boss , and wow …this boss received all that VFX love that players are missing.

its like there are 2 teams one for players and one for mobs/dungeons/raids.

I won’t be buying TWW either. The fact that Blizzard still manages to find players who are willing to spend money on it and even buy the most expensive version… well, there have always been whales. The ones who run to the store for every little thing.
