Blizzard will anyways go out of their way to remind you “you don’t want that, you think you do but you don’t”. If players come up with a good idea, it’s not gonna happen because you are not allowed to be better than Blizzard.

I like Dwarves, i have a couple. But we already have two dwarf flavors in the game and i want the Vikings!!! It would be a TAKE MY MONEY moment if they announced Vrykul, SKAL!

I mean earthen are kinda cool and everything. (I dont think it should be more than a skin for dwarves) But the players have been asking for races like Naga and Ogres since the game literally started. These are people paying to play your game, you think they would find a way to make it work.

I was thinking High elves will come in Midnight since it would make more sense. If Northrend is the main setting of The Last Titan, then maybe we’ll finally get Vrykul, too. Maybe they’ll find a way to add in ogres for Horde, as well (give each faction a “giant” race). That’s just me hoping, though!

It’s cool Horde get a Dwarf model but it’s the Alliance’s 3rd one. I’m not enthused at all.

I would like to see y’all actually main one rock dwarf
Dwarves are one trick pony of a race, pretty much like elves, people who like dwarves are already playing their own dwarves, highly unlikely they will play a worse version of the race, who ultimately kills the main thing about dwarves, which is being shorter

We have being very vocal about wanting ogres, forest trolls and other races, but like someone said, blizzard basically said “you think you want these races, but you don’t”

I love Dwarves. They are always the first race I play in any game I can. That being said yeah we didn’t need another one but they usually add races that pertain to the expansion they are being introduced to. So adding Vrykul, Ogres, high elves etc.(would hear too many elf races complaint from people if they did) wouldn’t make sense. But if they DID I would like the Sethrak as a playable race.

Theres a few trade offs that im unsure i want to make when it comes to a main. Mainly clipping issues.
I like earthen because theyre not regular dwarves.
To me, earthen are superior to normal dwarves.
A race makes sense in an expansion, as long the devs write then in that expansion
Like, by example, if in the development process they decide there is clans of vrykuls and ogres in the new continent, instead of rock dwarves, and ogres and vrykuls are part of the story of the expansion, adding rock dwarves would not make sense
Instead of furry elves haronir or whatever those tw@ts are called, just use trolls, why you need to make a new elvish race?

I was expecting a hard yes, otherwise just proves my point.
They are worse than regular dwarves, thats the problem.
A defining characteristic of a dwarf is their short size, rock dwarves are taller as a human, defeating the purpose of being a dwarf.
Their customisation are bland and uninspiring, it is literally dwarf → but rocks
Like i said, dwarves are a incredible but niche race, people who like then, already play then, and its not that much, adding another dwarf who doesn’t feel like a dwarf, just look like one, is doomed to fail
It would be better off by giving dwarves the customisation to be rock dwarves, and adding actual new races that people are asking for like vrykuls and ogres, but oh well, blizzard knows more than us

Im unsure either way. Im very tempted and i have even bought a race change. As i said, there are pros and cons i am weighing up.
Will i have multiple of them? Most certainly.

I heard the Earthen eat their skin flakes for a well-fed buff. Hard not to be excited about that!

No wonder. Calling it a new race, even though it’s exactly the same race three times over, just with different colors, is just plain lazy. Should have been a customization option, just like DIs.

Earthen are a Horde-feature, Alliance-players will not gain anything from them. The Bronzebeards/Wildhammer-race looks much better anyway.
