Oh, there it is - I must have missed it because Our Mage Quarter Is Under Attack!
So you left the server but you felt the need to come here and talk about the server… why, exactly? Are you after a pat on the back for thinking you’re better than everyone on “my awful server” or is moonguard living rent free in your head and you can’t tear yourself away from us?
Yes, trade is absolutely like that on every realm that has a decent population, and your huffing copium isn’t going to change that. And please, “spill the tea” all you want. A couple bad eggs doesn’t mean an entire group of people condone or accept it. If you see something that bothers you that much, use the report features that blizzard has provided you and then put the player on ignore. The only reason you wouldn’t do so is because you want the drama and attention for screeching publicly about it. Which, frankly, explains your post here.
This guy thinks typing /leave trade is a tall order. You really expect him to understand how a scroll wheel works?
I believe it’s best to just let this person scream into the void from here. They aren’t here to do anything but winge. As the old addage goes - don’t feed the troll. Let’s return to engaging the original spirit of this thread or just let it slip into the ether.
This was a very nice read and personally invigorates me as a moon guard main and roleplayer.
I took a chance on a friend’s guild and haven’t regretted it. I’ve met lots of great people, have begun digging into the RP scene again, and I get to be a sweaty gamer once in a while too!
Your people are out there; MG still has something for everyone.
Hope you enjoy your time here! It’s a great server to be on.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the game and I’m happy I had the opportunity to read your post. While the game and community has its problems, each of us can make the decision as to whether we pile onto those problems or if we decide to be better.
I’ll keep an eye out for you when I’m running around and, if I happen to see ya, I’ll try to make sure I leave your day a little better than before.
Oh, wow! This uh exploded quite more than I thought it would. I’m not really gifted with words so I apologize in advance.
@Kerdex. I’m really sorry you haven’t had the best experience on this server. That’s never any fun, and I really do hope it improves for you soon or you find a server that better suits your interests. I wish I had some wise or good advice to offer you because I never like seeing people feel down.
Anyways, I’m aware there are some downsides to the server, but it genuinely just astounds me how… well active everything is. The closest I can come to explaining it is back when I played vanilla wow. It feels like there is an active, cool community that I run across on the daily. I see people in their cool outfits or read their wonderful trps and can’t help but get lost in this world of magic.
I’ve honestly just been having a total blast meeting the people here. There’s just a new surprise around every corner and I think that’s nice and keeps me invested.
I’m so glad you’re having a good time! There’s a lot of negativity on the forums sometimes, so it’s really nice to see someone just sharing the nice experiences they’ve had. I hope you continue to enjoy your time, and that you are inspired to explore your own creativity with the people you encounter!
If you haven’t done so already - you might find it fun to download an addon called “Total Role Play 3” (usually abbreviated to “TRP3”)
Its a roleplay addon that allows you to set up a custom profile with traits and a background story. It allows allows you to set a rp name and title. Which will be shown to others with TRP3
It will also act as a ‘tattle tell’ and show you who else has TRP3 installed. You can then click on their profile and read their toon’s background information / story (if they have it set up).
LEGIT - I can just spend hours chilling in SW or any major city reading others TRP3 profiles.
Sorry for the late response! I got that addon already and lemme tell you its an absolute blast to just go around and read what creative stuff people come up with or even seeing some of those really detailed, in-depth roleplay profiles is just so unbelievable cool.
No problem! >.<
Yeah - I myself really just use TRP3 to read others. I’ve been inspired though to start writing up my toon’s stuff.
I’ll tell you what though - Moon Guard has really changed the way I approach wow!
I truly hope this isn’t weird to say, but I absolutely adore your transmog as well.
Oh, and uhm I don’t think anything was brought low I just feel a bit bad he isn’t having fun on the server and hope things improve for him soon!
This is the highest form of compliment on any RP server tbh
Awww, thank you!
And you’re right, positivity reigns supreme! I’ve just seen a few too many people on the forums lately who try to dump on other people’s good time. It becomes tiresome after a while.
Experiences in this game are what you make it! I have been having a very good time on MG after rolling Alliance characters here to join some friends on shenanigans. It’s lovely to have a lively, bustling Stormwind to snoop RP profiles on and I’m slowly working up the gumption to go to some public RP events solo.
I think positivity should be fostered. Thank you for posting this thread, even if it went a bit pear-shaped. I would rather celebrate joy than marinate in annoyance at this point in my WoW journey.
We do have a nice rather small tavern event returning Sundays next month. I’m working on the seating issues.
Hey, as long as Highborne and/or warlocks aren’t verboten, I’d love to stop by.
Not at all, we have all sorts of folks, even a Naga or two occasionally. Drop by:
At 8 PM CST/MG server time on a Sunday or as we expand, a Weds.
Granted we’re closed for next few Sundays and Weds’ in october for the much larger Reaper’s Reverie, but we’ll be back in Nov first Sunday!
I will say at best if the game doesnt appeal to you in the correct way that you desire, start over but avoid human/orc areas entirely. While playing as these races is still welcome, use any area that isnt the common human/orc backstory gives you that freedom far from the judgement and torment of others.
Stormwind/Orgrimmar is like the runway on vogue or some other fashion show. Its all about attention and judgement in these places but the rest of the world is so much more peaceful. Or Hollywood as a tourist spot.
Keep either strictly as travel hubs, but always try to use other locations for the scenic views and attention they offer.
Personally alliance ive always loved the peace and out of the way feel of the Exodar. The calm isolated feel of the Azuremyst Isle plus the music is a relaxing asmr experience.
And for the more scenic views as a home city for the horde i recommend Thunder bluff. The iconic city from above paired with the grasslands below gives it a wide natural feel.
Take it one step further and veture to AU Draenor and live on a whole other world. Same as a pandaren of course if you like them.
Or be a dead soul forever bound to the shadowlands but free from all the politics and beaurocracy of the living realm.
