Yeah that’s very true. To me I’d rather see those other forms of content see better gearing, as they don’t feel good right now. Rather than making m+ less fun to be more in line with them.
The cap is not the problem. People are the problem. Find a guild that actually plays the game to play, and you will have no issues running keys.
The current design is better for people who like alts or have to reroll because of class issues. People returning to the game can now catch up within a reasonable amount of time.
People still complained about the gear gap between “no-lifers” and “casual” (using those terms very loosly) with end-of-dungeon drops. We saw threads every season about how they feel left behind and can’t get into groups because their ilvl isn’t competitive.
Higher keys should give more valor. This is kind of a no-brainer thing. Lower keys should be for undergeared mains and alts to gear up and get experience, not for top geared players to spam for valor.
It’s not fair, but I’m going to do the same thing that makes it feel unfair to me when I’m not the one listing the key. ![]()
As a person that clears above 20 pretty regularly, I already don’t do that, lmao.
When valor is capped players try and do higher keys so they can get the item at an already higher item level and then you don’t need to spend as much valor.
That is what keeps the system working. It’s entirely designed around being capped.
Uncapping it makes it a degenerate spam low key free for all of doing the easiest content possible a million times.
This turns into a Maw of Souls situation either way. At some point you’re just running keys for farming Valor. Higher values are fine, of course, but players will eventually just go for efficiency instead of fun.
That’s easy to work around if you give different dungeons proportional rewards, though. Or award bonus valor for each time milestone.
But as for right now, s4 is a literal meme “have fun” season, so its not really a big deal either way.
You’d still go for the fastest dungeon, unless you normalize Valor. The point is players will eventually choose to do things they dislike.
I think making the bonus Valor is a decent way to get others running your keys, but I’d also think it wise to simply lower the cost to upgrade gear. At some point, it’s just a grind no one wants to do.
Depends, but it pretty much only matters so long as valour is uncapped. So for the future I’d rather have a means to boost progression for an alt from my main, than fiddle around with the valour system directly.
Post like these make me sick.,but good for you guys.
It’s the only good part about mythic+, literally an entire group of people including myself only run +2’s, get the upgrades and then spam +2’s to upgrade them. ZERO want or need to go any higher because who cares about reskinned KSM mount garbage and mythic+ itself is an unfun trash system the higher you go with these irritating and annoying affixes instead of having ones that change weekly to buff your character in different ways making it enjoyable it’s all annoying trash negative mechanics etc… If anything, valor should always be uncapped so we don’t have to participate any higher in this garbage than +2s.
I posted a +2 lower kara and filled it with people pretty fast due to bonus valor (And I had 190 ilevel on that alt). I even died a few times but everyone got their bonus valor and it wasn’t even that tough.
Except that when I host them I still take low level players, but if ONLY high level players apply then sure they can come.
Yesterday I took a 248 ilevel tank. ![]()
I am so happy it’s uncapped
Capped valor is a disease
Got my ksm and now I can chill thank god
Blizzard doesn’t give us enough content they just timegate the fun out of it and turns a couple weeks into a couple months.
The people that complain “omg people will finish and have nothing to do”
THATS THE POINT. Blizzard doesn’t give us enough stuff to do to begin with. Making it artificially long is awful
No. No more capped valor. Cringe.
Almost full geared on my toon. Going to take a ton of valor at this point especially for weapons and then just a few weeks of vault for sockets.
