Regarding Anduin - sadly, yes. It seemed as though they really wanted to do away with the Wrynns as the leaders of the Alliance.
I hope at least they show him finding Varian or Tiffin sometime in the future while he’s in the Shadowlands, that would be nice.

I doubt Danuser wanted to tell a cosmic level story. I think the way he wrapped up shadowlands tells he didn’t care for the jailor and saved sylvanas and fridge her and anduin. And you can tell from everything he didn’t like to write shadowlands and so he rushed and end the story and call it a day. And I bet he wants to tell his own story and expand on his favorite things and retcon things he doesn’t like or fit his narrative vision for the game.
I feel like the point of this expansion was “fixing” Sylvanas.
