He doesn’t have a horrible story honestly.
I mean he is honestly a true to who he is more so then most other Leaders/Heros/Major Lore people.

That has zero influence on why Nathanos is such a hateable character.
Nathanos’ whole deal is that he thinks Sylvanas is the greatest muse of the universe and literally anyone else is garbage.
That doesn’t make him a very sympathetic character. It just makes him a pathetic character lol

He is far too strong than what he is. Both Tyrande and Malfurion should be able to solo him but he stood up to both of them? Geez no way.
The VA did a good job making him sound as punchable as possible. Constantly questioning why the Player Character, who is pretty much this point at BFA are gods, are picked to do important stuff. Me personally I’ve grown a dislike for Slyvannas so his puppy dog attachment to her didn’t help him
As for his existence since Classic makes me dislike him even more as he has made it this long but so many other characters from Classic are gone that are far better than he ever is, will or could be.

I mean being that he was such a good Marksmen he got a High ranking title from the High elfs I wouldn’t say he is “weak” nor would I say he would have no chance vs 1 of them. He also wasn’t alone.
I find him rather unrelatable and obnoxious. He talks a lot of trash for being a slave.

He spends all of BFA bad-mouthing us while we do all his little chores.
Blathering on and on about the Dark Lady/Warchief/Banshee Queen while scolding us like children.
Then he betrays us without a second thought.
Death is too kind for him.
He’s a interesting character to say the least but you’d think… I dunno, after these many expansions that he’d lighten the hell up. Especially towards your character who is supposedly the hero of everything every time and he still belittles you? He holds a little grudge every time Sylvanas ask for you personally and uses Nathanos to fetch you.
Its like anything he wants to do for Sylvanas, he wouldn’t because you’re better and he’s just butthurt about it.
He looks like a human instead of a rot brain. So I hate him.

He’s just annoying. They could of had more depth for him but made it this clear cut role he has to play that it’s just… meh at best.

Malf got solo’d by an axe…I wouldn’t be bragging on his god-like abilities. And High Priestess Tyrande left her people to BURN to save her man. Surely the High Priestess of Elune could have saved more people than some random hero. The only one she has a leg to stand on being pissed at is herself.
That makes him a simp pathetic character.

I liked the pre-Cataclysm version. He saluted me when I earned his respect.
