I just hate momentum

Really, I pull 85-87k in Algethar I used your false “no mover” spec and I was at 74.5k. Do math better.
P.S. calling it a “no mover” spec when dash is a part of the rotation is a LIE!

all sims are st… this was not something i needed to mention, holy moly. the closest sim you can do for aoe is dungeon slice, which is shotty and shouldnt be taken seriously at best
also 85k in algethar is very very very low. it could just be a skill issue

Show me your dps in Algethar. So, I don’t have mythic gear and the best trinkets. That does not change the point. You just proved you are either an elitist or a troll. I just want to have fun and to do the best I can and not be ganked By Blizzard every Xpac.

Review the logs
My sims didn’t do eye beam essence break, tactical retrieve, dance blade, meta death sweep.

It use what skill is available for x amount of minutes. Vs one or multiple targets

Sims lage had there issues just to bring the new talent system to work. They don’t so every class and every spec combo rotations.

Is difference of been top DPS or same as tanks…
That’s why all top Ayers with dh use momentum/throw glaives.

If was just 3k difference been so minimal. A lot of players would chose any of those build and avoid all the issues that movement build have as we described up there.

link the sim, this does not sound like sim activity, m ysim often uses the essb window properly when ti can use it

also new optimizations showed that no movers can once again ignore fel rush with ip, in favor of immo aura for fury generation. so again it has become more no mover than before

sims can be doubled check by reality. thats why we love st sims and patchwerk. new on mover sims being worked on because the amount of people crying for “momentum bad!” reached a peak where we have to try every possible combination for yall to quiet down and quite spamming every possible dh guide or community hub. if you want to completely remove fel rush from the rotation, like not press it once? then tobad that wont happen, you will always have to press felrush for something whether or not it increases fury OR if you have downtime in fury generations and cant press cs. because felrush is stronger than a dry auto attack.

they would have to remove the dry damge from felrush to make it completely divorced from any rotation. play another class

It does give priority to trinkets and potions, but not over what skill should be first than another, or hey if one cd is ready 'wait for the other skill" so you can do the combo.
in this case the first time it use eye beam it looks like is going for combo but drinks a potion in between. and after first meta throws glaives.

if you see on “Sample Sequence Table” and just search for essence break, you would assume that will have.

  1. eyebeam before
  2. vengfull retreat
  3. then Essence break
  4. deathsweep or annihilation (depending whas not on CD)

as you can see essence_break with no eyebeam before (or some skills before) and not vengfull retreat close. Essence combo are several skills chain, but let’s just go to the most basic one,
eyebeam, empower dance blade (deathsweap) and chaos strike becomes, anhiilation.

why the sim would do eye beam, glaives, sigil of flames wasting haste window? for empowered skills?

because your simmign the aoe talents with soul rend and amn. the rotation changes when you swap from the st build to the aoe build. its trying to do the most optimal st dps rotation with aoe talents. plus its clear that essb got out of cd the moment eyebeam ended, which means it was suboptimal to hold eyebeam for essence break because your not ruinning cycle of hatred and shattered destiny

there is always a justification.
not even did the most basic combo, eyebeam, deathsweap/anihilation.

but is ok, nothing will convince you.
I will dedicate my time to reply to other players open to discussion, thanks for visiting DH forum.

because the combo just isnt the highest dps option when your not running the proper talents st dps. but go on and think about how sims are garbage because reasons

Blizzard also ignored us since legion pre-patch when we told them FR was janky to use. Momentum was also wildly buggy/jank to use in legion.

10% of players who actually dislike momentum is because if you use it often enough you will encounter the velocity bug (the one that yeet’s you at warp speed) A bug that’s existed SINCE LEGION PRE-PATCH.

DH andies still need to “Get Gud” for sure. But we can’t discount that momentum puts DH bugs on full display. If they would bother to fix the bugs then momentum might be more fun to use. But right now every FR that’s not on perfectly flat ground is a dice roll.

*If you have no idea what im talking about, then you either don’t have FR bound or you don’t play DH enough to really understand why momentum was a big part of the design choice

Caused me to pull packs from across the dungeon. Surprises me just as much as it surprises the group I’m with.
It really makes no sense why they haven’t fixed this yet.
