I find it usually goes about 50/50 on trolling versus actual helpful responses.
I had another person tell me the crit scope is what they use, and that actually ended up being my best option.
You can also say something incorrect and you’ll usually get 10 people correcting you, so that’s another way to get trade to give you the right answer.
Sounds like someone over committed to the bit to me.

I would have said they went Mythic Karen, but they went full LFR Karen, which is technically easier to deal with but much more traumatising.

The issue with this is that I know a woman named Karen and she’s absolutely a joy to talk with, she’s super nice and polite, we used to play League togheter and she never tilted or said anything mean to anyone, ever
