Turns out from a video game perspective being a naked pleb in a huge world dying to ordinary mobs and fighting your way to become big and strong is far more appealing than being the ChAmPioN oF AzERoTh and accomplishing brainless meaningless tasks.
putting on a random 2 int 2 stam green that dropped is way more fun than looting 440 boxes on all your chars and getting rng dog turds every tuesday morning.
Doing huge amounts of damage to other players with your abilities is way more fun than spending 5 minutes trying to kill any complete moron with passive azerite healing and 3 separate defensive cooldowns.
the sense of progression from zone to zone to zone to zone as you level is way better than hey which scaled zone would you like to pick to do 5 hrs worth of quests in and bam you are level 120!
going into a raid and killing THE boss, not the LFR version and then the normal version and then the heroic version and maybe the mythic version. No. There is only one boss and its the exact same for people who suck and for people who pwn.
All the little nuances of classic wow make what could be perceived as the most mundane game play of grinding mobs or whatever just… better. more satisfying.

Funny how people are saying Classic has meaningful upgrades and everything seems important. Well duhh you are starting at level 1 with nothing and gsining 60 levels. You are starting from scratch and advancing in power. Its not that BFA didnt have this but it only lasted 10 levels. In classic after grindingvto 60 you will hit a very hard wall called level and gear cap. Once you get here you will have nothing to do, nothing to go get, and nothing to chase after. There is a reason at the end of Vanilla people sat in Ogrimar for hours with the same “I am board” complaints you see now. The excitment and anticipation of the next expansion on their minds.
Matter of fact as I was leveling my classic hunter up I saw way more “Man I cant wait for TBC and Wrath to get here.” So the anticipation and impatience to move on is alreafy there.

Not more than 3 but depending on the gear lvls of the people I been fighting I have done it in current game.

Lol - was going to do that or find a DK montage. It was more making it close vs. Beating someone. There is still an essence of trying when im LFGing people to 1800 - since the amount of gimmicky abilities and pve garbage is at an absolute maximum right now.
Dont get me wrong - I love arena. But I hate BFA.
