I hope they dont butcher convoke in dragon flight

It is by far my favorite spell and actually makes me feel a little bit powerful for once. If they take it away or gut it like usual I will be very sad.

It will be gone. Along with all over covenant abilities.

I mean good is not relative when nobody uses it because its bad like full moon for balance druids

Would you mind sharing with me how you gained the ability to see into the future?

I think its more about using history to predict the future… its on a repeat:

ā€œits only alpha, blizz will fix it before releaseā€ā€¦ā€œits only beta, blizz will fix before releaseā€ā€¦and they go on to deliver unfinished product ^^

I’ve seen this a few times/exapcks now lol

My post was basically giving examples of every single time borrowed power gets baked into a spec after a expac and its in a nerfed state. So what im saying is that i hope they dont butcher it like they did with everything else they brought down to class level to the point of it being so bad you dont pick it.

You don’t even have numbers yet to go with most of the abilities. Blizzard says ā€œhere’s a preview of how the talent systems are going to workā€, and you guys are extrapolating ā€œWelp convoke sucks in dragonflight because there’s no more Niyaā€ā€¦like ???

Yes we are. Because its world of warcraft and blizzard has history of butchers secondary system power when it goes baseline. Also there is history of devs not doing anything in beta so its a good idea to raise concerns early.

A lot of the covenant abilities are being kept, Convoke, Adaptive Swarm, and I think the DK SlappyHands Necro ability is as well. Perhaps take a look at the previews!

Im not writing off the ability. In fact its the opposite.

It’ll be a fantastic ability in single target but im making a wild guess that incarnation (combined with Berserk: Frenzy) will overtake it for AoE due to the loss of Niya’s mastery.

It’ll definately be something I’ll play for raiding and solo content.

There is nothing stopping them from adjusting spec’s baseline mastery contribution values so that the loss of Niya isn’t as impactful either.

That’s a good stance to have for a tuning pass. Alas, this is a preview of the new talent system.

When have they ever listened to people during tuning passes in a alpha. Like what i said before with every single ability they butchered. New moon included.

I imagine when New Moon was a talent in the tree during the preview for BFA everyone thought it was going to be auto-include in their minds before we saw the actually coefficients/adjustments of the spells. Turns out that wasn’t the case; they can absolutely make spells better or worse during development.

That’s kind of my point.

Yea which is why i made a post saying, hey guys dont ruin convoke and let it be viable.

You are basically arguing that i shouldnt be worried about it until beta comes out and i said its unlikely that things will be changed when beta comes out. Lets leave it at that.
