I won’t be playing classic at launch, because I worry too much the impact that streamers will have on servers. But as the title of this thread says I hope I am wrong.

I hope I look like a fool and that streamers have little to no influence over servers, and that I miss out on a couple months of classic because I was convinced they’d ruin it. I would deserve not playing classic which I would desperately love to play because I was paranoid. I hope I am wrong and I will deserve any ridicule that comes my way because of it.

But as of right now, I think they will and as I said before I fear they’ll create a completely different atmosphere than what the true vanilla experience was.

They aren’t going to mean squat on PVE realms. That’s a PVP realm concern.

There are other servers to choose to avoid the (Major) streamers with the wicked fan base. Small streamers shouldn’t bother anyone really.

Don’t give up / give in OP… if you do, the streamers already won.

Play your game – it will be fine.

They will have the same amount of influence as they do currently on retail.
Namely minimal to none.
Every single server will have streamers of all sizes from small ( less than 10) to huge (more than 10k) . you likely for 90% of the time won’t even notice them.

most are playing on Faerlina, so just dont join that realm.

Mostly Asmon. The other big streamers have pretty chill fans. Like they will still make a scene but no where near the level of Asmon’s.

And unless you happen to be in the same area of the same zone at that time as him, you won’t even notice.

Yeah. Too many people want the streamers who are just fellow players like them to do everything THEY want because of “Me me me”

All apologies, but I can’t watch this champion streamer, just because of the dopey look on that guy’s face.

What’s-His-Name looks like one of those guys who used to wander into the bookstore and asked the cashier “What flavors do you have?”

His mouth breathing suggests a serious sinus condition, for which I pray he seeks out a talented E.N.T. I promise you, Ashleigh, there IS life beyond nasal spray addiction…

In a way, you are still allowing the streamers to dictate how/when you play! Don’t do that! Stop giving them more power than they deserve! Just play on realm where they do not exist. They aren’t on all of the servers!!
