I Honestly Want More Warfronts

Warfronts are blergh.

But I love everything that comes with them.

The Race-Themed Transmog sets.

The Zone updates.

The Rares, Toys, Mounts, Pets, etc.

Warfronts are blergh. But they are worth it.

What if we have sylv raid storm wind. That would make a great warfront

Anduin would be raised as a forsaken. Sounds grrrreat

I’d prefer a Blood Elf VS Draenei Warfront next.

Maybe on Isle of Quel’danas

I couldn’t disagree more. They are the most poorly implemented content I have seen in years.

Suppose there were no Warfronts.

We lose the updates to Arathi and Darkshore. We lose the fart toy, the skeletal Gnome Pet and the Chimaera mount. We lose a lot of things.

We lose the first set of proper non-Druid Night Elf armor we ever had.

We lose the donkey.

And we gain nothing.

I want more HEROIC warfronts.
The normal ones are really boring.

It’s not like the couldn’t simply implement those things without Warfronts.

Well, the mogs need to drop from somewhere.

If we don’t get a Warfront, we lose at least one tier of mogs (the elite one).

Yeah, they couldn’t possibly come from another, more liked/enjoyable, source.
Like say dungeons or raids.

Warfronts could have been really cool… they aren’t… but they could have been.

Well, BfA’s thing with sets is that they must look like they come from the content where they drop.

So suppose you wanna replace a Blood Elf VS Draenei Warfront with Raids.

You would need to make two Raids. One where we kill Blood Elves and one where we kill Draenei.

It seems like a lot more work than simply making a Warfront out of a pre-existing zone.

That’s great and all, but to me that’s no more than corporate sloganeering.

That’s quite an assumption there. There’s no need to replace anything with anything. Or create additional raids or dungeons.

A set for every class used to drop from every raid/dungeon. Now we get a quarter of that. There’s room for more sets in pre-existing dungeons/raids.

Seems to me like you’re merely trying to justify warfronts (which you yourself admit are terrible content) to yourself more than anything.

Anyone have feedback on the hardmode warfronts yet? Are they any more engaging?

I think warfronts are so close to being really fun. A lot of good elements are present. Turn in collected stuff to boost your troops like old AV. Summon big bad elementals like old AV. Get super powers for being active and doing stuff right. Buff up and roll out with some NPC homies to do mega damage. That’s all fun!

But the total killjoy, I think, is that nothing you do feels like it has an actual impact on what’s really happening. Almost regardless of what goes down, things will finish in about the same amount of time, every time. There will be down time waiting for the last phase, the same time, every time. The whole thing just runs on rails unless there is truly severe incompetence or tons of AFKs.

Anyone feel the same?

I just want the stuff. And I don’t see the Warfront stuff being added without a Warfront.

Patch 8.2 had no Warfront. We didn’t get 2 sets of Race Armor per type. We didn’t get an update to an old zone. There’s a reason for that.

You can say “oh, they could do it without the Warfront” and you would be right. It’s possible. But I don’t see it happening.

Supposedly there was a Durotar one datamined. I hope that turns out the be legit.

I am pretty sure that Map is from SoO. It even has the Galakras and the Robot Scorpion boss spots marked.

ya the map isn’t the part I’m talking about, there was a tag for a Durotar warfront kinda like the barrens ones of old.

I get the desire for stuff dude. I do. What I’m saying is simply that it doesn’t need to be gated behind subpar content.
Also, the stuff you desire in no way makes the subpar content you need to do to acquire it “better.” Or good. Or worthwhile.

That’s all.

And you’re correct, I was going to say that. Blizzard/Activision are the gods of the game and are able to determine where all the resources they have at their disposal are used.

It’s no accident that the stuff you desire is gated behind subpar new content.

It doesn’t need to be that way is all.

Well, if you can buy Blizzard and change that, that would be great.

I am broke and unemployed. I can barely afford my WoW sub. I can’t fix WoW at the moment lol

I do not like them because they stagnate the plot, if there is an eternal tug of war we will never know how things really end.

A clear example is Darkshore.
