An argument is simply a point. you have no point, or else you would lead with that instead of desperately attempting to drive-by insult me.
That you persist in the insults, and even try to pass these insults off as a salient point really tells me that you have nothing to add here.
Did you ever learn in English classes that you cannot use the word you’re defining in a definition?
Be more specific, if you can. Let’s just do one class as an example.
White Mage. How is the “class design” of FFXIV’s WHM a copy of a WoW spec from MoP? FF white mages have always been the healing specialist class with powerful single and multi-target healing spells, as well as utilizing the defensive spells “Barrier” and “Shell” to reduce incoming damage, and wielding a variety of anti-debuff spells. This has been the case since the original Final Fantasy game was released 32 years ago. In FFXIV, WHM fulfills this role in the same fashion as the classic white mage, adding in some healing over time, and combining their anti-debuffs into the catch all spell “Esuna” (a role action, now).
Now it’s your turn. Explain how the “class design” for this single class is copying WoW and not the other way around.
Class design = how classes are designed.
It is a term used in wow too, don’t jump into absurdity because you know you cannot compete on intellectual arguments.
white mage has the same reactive, hard cast heal style as mop holy priest. Even the same mechanics outside of the lillies.
scholar acts like mop disc priest by being a proactive healer using shields. They also have a little of resto shaman in them by the fairy pets which act similar to old shaman totems.
So, gathering from what I’ve read ffxiv is pretty much a wow rip off with outdated graphics. Is that pretty much the gist?
The game itself is very much like wow in both quest design and class design.
If you liked wow during 5.4, ffxiv is like 5.4 mop shamelessly copied without them understanding what made 5.4 mop good.
