I love summer. An uncrowded beach is only 10 minutes drive away. If only I could bring the beach home with me.
And no I will never get a pool, swimming in chlorine is the worst, so AC will just have to do.

You know there is such a thing as salt water pools right?
Lol 26c is considered freezing where I used to live. Regular temperature of 35c ALL YEAR long. The seasons were: Heat, Summer, Searing and Hell.
I live in arizona. However I was also born 3 months early so I’m kind of a runt. Why do I bring this up? I have twiggy twig thin arms with very little fat to keep me comfy. So even if I live in arizona I’m often wearing jackets. We keep our buildings cold inside so it’s a nightmare going from “Ugh god the heat. Kill me.” to “I CANT STOP SHIVERING THIS SUCKS”
I hate Summer I am patiently waiting for Autumn.
And what state do you live in again? I bet you blast your car AC when you get inside it.
sitting in 60 degree room the cold never bothered ME anyway. hairflip
Would you say that AC is sexist?
I love winter. When I’m cold I can cover up and get warm. When I’m hot there is nothing to do but sweat.
At least you guys get winter. Never seen snow on real life. 30-34C is normal. I usually turn on AC with 27C when it gets hot.
Oh, I went to my friend’s home and stayed overnight once. His AC is on 16C. It’s freezing cold. I immediately catch cold and fever on the next day.
So you like warm and muggy, eh? Well come on down to my house in South Florida. I’ll let you stay outside on the porch. Sit out there and swelter while I lounge on the couch on the other side of the glass sliding door. You’ll learn to love air conditioning in about 20 minutes.
i hate this bs heat. and the corresponding electric bill that triples in summer… day after day of 100+ really wears you out
Heh, yup, no one who has ever lived in South Florida in August has ever said they hate AC.
I prefer dry and cold. I’m in SoCal, and it’s hot during the day, but at night (because this is a desert), it gets stupid cold. There’s wind. I have the doors and windows opened so all that cold air blows over the whole house and we get to bundle up in shawls and wraps and sweatshirts and blankets. In July. It’s AMAZING.
But I said all of that to let you know, OP, that I get it. I see you. I’m on the opposite side of the temp spectrum, but I get it.
Snow is best seen at a distance like on the local volcano.
As for summer, I don’t find it too bad most days because I’m in a coastal city.
But… that’s only if I’m wearing cotton. The work shirts are
polyester.
you and me

I have multiple sclerosis. Normally, you wouldn’t know I did but, when I get overheated, my right leg becomes wobbly and my foot drops. The effect is only temporary; once my core body temperature drops I’m fine again.
As such, I love air conditioning!
Living in the South A/C is a must. The humidity alone is rancid, tack on high heat and it’s a death sentence.
That being said, I set my A/C to 76(F) at night, and then bump it to 82(f) during the day which keeps it from kicking on often, but the house is cool enough b/c of the curtains I have up over the windows, that it’s comfortably survivable.
My mom had to always have her places set to 64(f) ye round…bless her soul, I loved her w/all my heart but she drove me INSANE with the cold air!!!

yo, i’ll take your air conditioning. i’m menopausal in the middle of summer, and my pc makes my bedroom like a sauna on top of southern humidity. needless to say, i am not a happy gamer
