Just like Zekvir was during the first two weeks when Brann was broken af and would solo him while you could almost afk the fight?
I’ve seen some people talking about the Bio Printer curio doing enough damage to nearly solo it, but haven’t witnessed the numbers myself. They barely scrape 200-300k, which doesn’t even scratch the shield and barely beats the radar’s 10% damage buff for me.
I’d assume there’s something scaling wise broken as there was last time, but a lot of the fight just boils down to putting up with a load of nonsense for 10-15 straight minutes.
I tried the Bio Printer, it flat out did nothing. No helpers for me.
I’m also switching up the dinos because they usually just go right for the adds which doesn’t exactly help me a ton. I’m thinking Footbomb and maybe Radar? Maybe Kaja’Kola? I’m a bit worried that the Kola is also doing nothing because the stat changes aren’t reflected on the character sheet.
…This whole thing is just a mess, man.
Even on my healer, bio printer does like zero damage, so potentially stealth nerfed or something.
Best I’ve gotten with it is the Bouncing Grenade and the bio printer. The printer sucks bad, but it’s still the highest damage output of all the options.
Edit: Seems there is variable scaling for all of the curios just on the type of Brann used, which is sort of stupid imo. The curios are doing much more damage with a DPS Brann, meaning tanks get a huge advantage. And, for some reason, my BDK only need to kick 2 bombs per pack of adds instead of 3. And the shield scales properly down for a tank. So the entire mess is just fine if you’re a tank apparently.

That’s…kinda nuts? The one less bomb thing alone would make things so much easier. All because I can’t afford to have Brann off Healer spec?
I love this game, but things like this just have me wondering what, exactly, is going through their head sometimes.
When I killed it bio printer and footbombs were about 20-30% of my damage. Bioprinter procced off of the crony adds so it was generally up early on. That said wouldn’t be surprised if that was a bug too, though I’m not sure about just fixing the positive bugs lmao.
In my experience he’d only kill the pet once, and I could get a revive pet cast off when he was doing one of his various stand still and channel mechanics. It is still beyond annoying and it did make the opener incredibly clunky.
I downed the fight so I can now say that this fight is some of the biggest garbage ive ever had the displeasure of playing. To top it all off, the mount still doesn’t drop
I don’t know how DPS players, especially melee are doing ?? Underpin.
At 656 ilvl he autoattacks me for a minimum of 2/3 of my health.
Done on Shadow Priest. 658~ ilvl.
Wasn’t fun, basically just sent all cds on pull. Cleared a set of adds, broke a shield, moved the boss to the the other side, cleared another set of adds, then dodged the bullet hell for the next 3 minutes while I burned him from 60%.
Way worse fight than Zekvir.
I’m glad to see real issues like the underpin counting for weekly have been patched out before things like it not dropping its loot.
Really couldn’t plug in the CD reset between attempts, huh.
I got to 40%, I can do it. Really kinda boils down where all the AoEs go. May try BM again.
Kinda annoyed I still have to wait 10 minutes to be optimal between pulls still, though.
Still one shotting pets as BM. They did literally nothing with this fight.

For those also trying, I learned a few things.
Bio Matrix sometimes bugs and won’t give you any helpers. You’ll need to unequip and re-equip it.
Staying away from the wall tends to help with bomb spawns, although sometimes they can just deviate wildly.
Rest depends on how Flamethrower and Molten Cannons are feeling and hope they’re not completely obscuring bombs.
Getting real close.
The way it works is there’s about 40 fixed locations adds can spawn. The boss will attempt to spawn them in the closest 5 to his position, and if one is already occupied (By a corpse or a live add) it will spawn on the opposite side of the room.
The trick isn’t necessarily to keep away from the walls, it’s to make sure there are 5 unoccupied spots near to him when he spawns the adds. I personally kept him against the walls to make bomb spawns and kicking easier, but just made extra sure to move him far after each set.
Really I got the spawns down, it’s the bomb placement itself. They just kinda have a giant circle of deviance in your general area, and they can just spawn in really bad places.
There’s times there’s literally nothing I can do. Once Turtle is down I cant just run around and kick bombs in all the garbage that Underpin spews out.
I remember back in wrath when blizzard gave pets an avoidance passive because they couldn’t make pet ai dodge AoE and recognized that losing 8 seconds rezzing a pet twice a minute sucked for players. Here we are 16 years later with a mandatory pet ai and it cannot avoid AoE, and the rez takes 8 seconds assuming you don’t get interrupted. Where is the Brannvoidance?
They added it in a hotfix a few days ago. My brann didn’t die once on my kill.
Yeah, they fixed Brann just being deleted. It was flat out impossible for me otherwise, and I don’t use that term lightly.
Now it’s possible, but holy cow is it annoying. I feel my energy kinda dipping so this may be a tomorrow thing, but I got so close, 10% is my lowest. Those attempts I stopped focusing adds too early and tried to burn. Doesn’t pan out.

Oh. By the way, drop still seemed bugged. It doesn’t seem like it’s supposed to be a dropped, it’s tied to the achievement. So it should just appear.
I hope they dont nerf the crap out of this because its doable they just need to fix the drop imo
with gildeds available this season its something we can progress over time
