Not a fan of personal growth or something?
What, that the usual suspects raised a fuss and pretended they’re the only fans again?
It’s a bit funny that you don’t seem to realize how much you’re revealing when you say people have “built identities” around there not being female space marines. As if something so petty should get anyone worked up in the slightest.
OF? Who has OF?
Ergo, I’ve never used it online in… any sense. Or in person. Maybe if I’m in a discord call with my brother and I yell at something, but not really otherwise.
Yeah. Most people don’t know that I use it. So they don’t get mad!
Not a fan of bending over backwards to avoid “offending” people. I am who I am, don’t care what people think. o7
It doesn’t matter.
Those kinds of people spend alot of money on minis.
You push the envelope too far and they’ll find something else to invest in.
Thank you for bring up my favorite computer game! That is all.
Which is fine, as long as it’s true. I’m not here to police how you speak to entirely private audiences.
I don’t know why people seem to just think I’m running around flinging extremely offensive stuff everywhere I go, picking fights at every opportunity. Seems to be the automatic assumption.
No, you’re just stretching as far as you can to hold onto a word that means nothing to you but everyone else decided wasn’t very considerate to keep around.
You do, though. You come to the forums to tell us about how others don’t want to spend time with you because you refuse to be open to change or growth.
It bothers you greatly.
They do now lol
'cause it’s a word I grew up using. So I’ll continue to do so.
Yes, not having friends bothers me, especially when it hinders my gameplay, like not being able to do mythic raiding.
Still don’t care what people think about me in the slightest.
Nah this thread is so long. Most people won’t see it.
I mean, it’s fairly obvious that what you think got you banned isn’t what got you banned. People say worse than that with no repercussions both on these forums and in-game.
There are communities that go as far as “no alphabets allowed” etc.
People also give you the benefit of the doubt to be intelligent enough to know this, so they assume you’re trolling.
That’s how this usually goes.
So, I think it’ll play out this way:
- MAGA falls out of power.
- Religious community leaders gain popularity through charisma and win their districts.
- As more districts become led by pastors, “normalcy” shifts more to religious beliefs at a county and state level. This comes with educational reforms, such as “teaching the controversy” like we see with Evolution.
- More children grow up thinking science is a belief system, instead of a tool or method. This leads to “God is the answer.” And because there’s less pushback, it becomes a culture war.
- A factor of religious people is that some of reproduce like rabbits because “they are God’s gifts.” (Science of pregnancies, contraception, etc. aren’t being taught in religious-backed schools)
- This means there are A LOT of young voters who see politics are “God vs Science” and would be more supportive of this type of religious nationalism. “I grew up with it, and turned out great. Everyone should be like me. This is what Jesus wants from his followers, to save them!”
And that’s how you can breed a culture war with religion.
It’s not that it’ll be a reality in a decade, but this type of thing takes a couple generations to occur, and I think it’s already started from when Trump took office.
That’s what the power button and the volume down button are for
A lot of people in trade were memeing about reporting me, or throwing shade at me every time I posted that. So I bet it was. I can’t think of anything else.
I donno what you mean by that.
Out of curiosity, how much were you posting this?
The thing about politically extreme parties (regardless of direction) is that they tend to function better in opposition rather than in power, because the foundation of their extremity are grievances. Because of that, it’s hard for them to make the transition to actually having power because now, if things go poorly, they’re either going to be held responsible, or they’ll have shirk responsibility and blame their opponents who no longer have power. The latter often falls flat on anyone that isn’t already of supporter of theirs, so you tend to see the rather extreme political parties and movements flame out relatively quickly, particularly in relatively stable democracies where election integrity is strong, and the ability to hold on to power in spite of losing elections is limited.
When it comes to figurehead political parties and movements such as MAGA, they’re even more tenuous once that figurehead is no longer in the picture. The big issue for the MAGA crowd is that, no matter what, Trump is done by 2028. If he manages to eek out a win this year, he’s term limited. If he loses, he now has the taint of being a two time loser to two different people two elections in a row. Not only that, by the time 2028 rolls around, he’d be 82. Lastly, many of the legal protections (even after the Supreme Courts absurd decision concerning Presidential immunity) will be gone as he’d now be a private citizen.
We’ve already seen that they don’t like Trump-lite or pseudo-Trump, especially when the real thing is available. So the GOP would have a serious reckoning on their hands should they lose in November, because the only reasonable choices at that point are to cull the MAGA wing of the party and consider the 8-12 year “Trump/MAGA era” as an unfortunate aberration, or double-down and find someone 20-30 years younger who is less neurotic and can actually play the political game in a way that isn’t solely self-aggrandizing.
I expect, with a Trump/Vance loss, the cull. They know that the MAGA wing isn’t going to form a third-party or anything absurd like that. They’ll whine and moan and winge and talk a big game, but too many of the people in the game want to actually be in power, and they know it’s a two-party street. They’ll get back in line, they’ll keep the (R) in front of their name, and they’ll do their best to thread the needle between moving on from Trump, while avoiding pissing him and his ilk off and potentially losing re-election to a Democrat or having him endorse a primary opponent.
I only see them doubling-down if he wins, and that presents a very interesting situation come 2028 because it raises the question of who is the heir-apparent? Vance is just terrible, Trump’s kids are a non-starter, DeSantis (my home state) has lost a lot of his political capital and momentum from his failed run and issues here at home now that he’s been weakened, Nikki Haley has rendered herself spineless, Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton are Midwest weirdos who lack national appeal, and the GOP writ large won’t support Vivek because a significant proportion won’t trust and thus won’t support a non-white, non-Christian candidate for the highest office.
Larry Hogan would be in a prime position in 2028, especially if he wins the Maryland Senate race. He’s a true Moderate, so I’d be interested to see how MAGA world in 2028 responds to someone like him on their flank.
Like every couple hours if I remembered, no more than like 3 or 4 times a day. And not every day either. For about a week and a half.
