politics like ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ and ‘defense of marriage act’ helped make it political if it wasn’t before. additionally, marriage by itself is very political, because the rules governing it are determined through elected organizations forcing everyone to bend a certain way to begin with.
that doesn’t exemplify freedom, to me.

Out of curiosity, how do you know precisely what you were banned for? Did you try for an appeal and get a response?

Nope, just says abusive chat. Never got a warning pop up in game either. I went to bed last night after actually finding a guild, woke up to an email saying I was suspended. Sent an appeal close to 18 hours ago, no reply.

Specifically with JD, he doesn’t have a future in big politics. If Trump does not win this election, then MAGA will die off in a decade or so. The harsh truth is that bad ideas die with the people who believe in them. We make progress as a society when the older generation literally dies off.

You can keep trying, though don’t expect much. I spent a week trying for a response on Overwatch and all I got was “get over it chump” from a bot.
On one thing I will consistently agree; Blizzard support is some of the worst in the industry, nowadays. At least their ticket support. Phone support is grand.
I do believe it’s unlikely that asking for a conservative guild is what earned you a ban, though. Even if that’s what they e-mailed you, much like Overwatch that message is automated and snipped from the report, not from the actual review of the event.
For example you could be reported on “Hello” but actioned for slurs in many sentences thereafter (not saying this is what happened to you, I believe you’re capable of bad decisions but you don’t strike me as someone who slings slurs much.)

Idk what you mean by “change their mind” but I do think it’s generally easy to pick up on whether a group shares your social values without having to outright say as such. In my experience, most guilds would rather just avoid it all together and keep things neutral. But you can easily step into a guild discord and see what they stand for based on the things they enjoy talking about.
