Thank you for posting this! I think a lot of people overlook this aspect. We need a gold faucet to generate “fresh” gold into the economy.
Although I didn’t like SL a lot, I think that the covenant dailies generated about the right amount of gold. It’d be nice if they had something like that with the 4 new factions.

The question is, do gold drains get clogged like regular drains? And if they do will Drano unclog them or will it wash away some of the gold?

10k / hour is pittance, and this is only the first month of new Expac where mats are still premium.
We’re fast reaching off season Expac price where cloths and shards are virtually worthless. Granted the Purple shard are still 2.5k ish on my server, but green / blue shards are diving faster than hot potato. The reason for that is the Clothier → Enchant shuffle was too convenient.
This is the only times where crafted items still have some use, once M+ is open we’ll have 400+ drops the crafted items are nothing but starter pack.

cuz everybody is trying to level up their profession so they aren’t necessarily buying and selling on market value.
Yeah, but the Callings and Table all got nerfed hard in the second phase of pre-patch. Not really worth the time anymore, unless you’re going to get a paragon box from the rep (which were still not nerfed at least of last week).

I have 31 alts untouched im jk but I do have a lot of 60s. I consider myself a casual and it is more realistic to me for casuals to have untouched alts. I don’t have the time to manage them and I barely have time to even do flying weeklies on them
Right now I’m just going to Daisy chain the racing events on multiple toons.
5 toons is 10000 twice a week. that’s still under half of what I was earning… But for a fraction of the effort and time
Now do that each DAY on 20 toons total… That’s $40000. That’s still 100000 gold less I’m earning a week compared to callings… But still almost no effort
I have one lv 70. One lv 60. And random levels below that. No casual player really has time to use alts unless they don’t intent to even get the most baseline gear. I almost have a set of honor gear on my main and I play more than what would be considered casual.
